Abstract: There is provided an ultrasonic bridge for ultrasonic-based wireless communication. For example, there is provided an ultrasonic bridge that includes a microphone configured to transduce an ultrasound into an analog voltage. The ultrasonic bridge further includes hardware configured to convert the analog voltage to digital information. The ultrasonic further includes a transceiver configured to send the digital information wirelessly to a remote device via one of an RF link and a light-based link.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an LED lamp comprising a base, a lamp body coupled to the base, a light emitting assembly arranged inside the lamp body, a positioning component fixed on the lamp body and defining a groove, a flexible component having a fixed end fixed to the lamp body and a free end, and a driver board defining a slot and electrically connected with the light emitting assembly, wherein the driver board is disposed in the groove and the free end of the flexible component is locked into the slot. A method for assembling the LED lamp is also described.

Abstract: In a lighting package, a printed circuit board supports at least one light emitting die. A light transmissive cover is disposed over the at least one light emitting die. A phosphor is disposed on or inside of the light transmissive dome-shaped cover. The phosphor outputs converted light responsive to irradiation by the at least one light emitting die. An encapsulant substantially fills an interior volume defined by the light-transmissive cover and the printed circuit board.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a lamp, mounted on a socket when in use, comprising a cap, a housing, and a light source, wherein the cap is adapted to connect to the socket, one of the cap and the housing comprises a tubular body, and the other comprises a cylindrical cavity for accommodating the tubular body, and the tubular body rotates in the cylindrical cavity around an axis of the cap and moves along the axial direction of the cap to effect relative rotation and relative telescopic motion between the cap and the housing. The lamp of the present invention allows both relative rotation and relative telescopic motion between the cap and the housing, therefore facilitating adjustment of the illumination direction, and is adaptable to different types of fittings.

Abstract: A tilting mechanism for a luminaire assembly is provided. The tilting mechanism includes a first rotating connection between a first housing of the luminaire assembly and an exterior surface. The first housing configured to pivot relative to the exterior surface around a first axis defined by the first rotating connection. The tilting mechanism also includes a second rotating connection between the first housing and a second housing of the luminaire assembly. The second housing is configured to pivot relative to the first housing around a second axis defined by the second rotation connection. The first axis defined by the first rotating connection between the first housing and the exterior surface and the second axis defined by the second rotating connection between the first and second housing are transversely oriented with each other.

Abstract: One or more light emitting diode diodes (LEDs) are attached to a printed circuit board. The attached LEDs are connectable with a power source via circuitry of the printed circuit board. An overmolding material is insert molded an over at least portions of the printed circuit board proximate to the LEDs to form a free standing high thermal conductivity material overmolding that covers at least portions of the printed circuit board proximate to the LEDs. The free standing high thermal conductivity material has a melting temperature greater than about 100° C. and has a thermal conductivity greater than or about 1 W/m·K. In some embodiments, the free standing high thermal conductivity material is a thermoplastic material.

Abstract: Light sources that emit light having enhanced color spectrum characteristics are described. A color metric called the Lighting Preference Index (LPI) is disclosed that enables quantitative optimization of color preference by tailoring the spectral power distribution of the light source. In an embodiment, a lamp includes at least one blue light source having peak wavelength in the range of about 400 nanometer (nm) to about 460 nm, at least one green or yellow-green light source having peak wavelength in the range of about 500 nm to about 580 nm, and at least one red light source having peak wavelength in the range of about 600 nm to about 680 nm, wherein the lamp has an LPI of at least 120.
