Abstract:
A drying system for drying a coating applied to an article of manufacture. The drying system includes an enclosable booth having an interior for housing the article of manufacture. The system also includes an air source for blowing air into the booth, means for raising the temperature of the air before entry into the booth, means for lowering the temperature of the air before entry into the booth, means for raising the humidity of the air before entry into the booth, and means for lowering the humidity of the air before entry into the booth. In one embodiment there is included at least one distribution cone which includes a conical member having a plurality of openings formed along the axis thereof. The cones emit air across an article of manufacture within the booth. During the drying process, both the temperature and the humidity within the booth is raised to accelerate drying.
Abstract:
A vehicle having an electronic, automatic transmission incorporates a safety stop system. A position sensor or sensors are mounted onto the vehicle and are in communication with an electric controller. The electric controller in turn is operatively connected to the actuation solenoids in the hydraulic transmission. When a safety violation occurance is detected, then the electric controller either slows the speed of the vehicle or stops the vehicle through the transmission.

An enhanced control system for an electronic automatic transmission enables the transmission to operate in a full neutral idle, a reverse lockout, and an inching mode. These functions improve the mileage and durability of the operation of the transmission. They also enable the inching mode for use especially in industrial applications.

The radar system may continually adapt over time to perform different types of radar mission by re-configuring the radar control software with mission specific configuration data. A cover for use in connection with a mirror of a vehicle is provided. The cover is provided with a lens having an electrically activatable material. The lens is positioned in front of the vehicle mirror. The electrically activatable material blocks visible light directed towards the vehicle mirror such that the electrically activatable material prevents the visible light from being reflected off of the vehicle mirror when the electrically activatable material is set to a light inhibiting state. A device that holds the lens is securable to the vehicle mirror. The electrically activatable material of the lens is configured to be switched to the light inhibiting state in response to user operation such that the lens prevents reflection of the visible light off of the vehicle mirror to reduce observability of the vehicle mirror.

A mirror assembly is provided having a mirror for use in connection with a vehicle, such as a military combat vehicle. An electrically activatable material is positioned at the mirror of the vehicle. The electrically activatable material prevents the reflectivity of visible light off the mirror when the electrically activatable material is switched to a light-blocking state. A coupling device electrically couples the electrically activatable material to an electrical power source. An actuation device is adapted to switch the electrically activatable material of the vehicle mirror assembly to the light-blocking state in response to user operation such that the electrically activatable material prevents the reflectivity of visible light off the vehicle mirror to reduce the observability of the vehicle mirror.

A vehicle lighting control system and method are provided. The vehicle lighting control system includes a light module with light carrier positions for receipt of individual light sources. A lighting controller coupled with the light module is configured to identify a light source type associated with the individual light sources occupying light carrier positions of the light module. A power source coupled with the lighting controller provides power to the individual light sources in accordance with the type of light source identified. The individual light sources are removable from the light module and may be replaced by other light sources of a different type. The lighting controller is adapted to be reconfigured such that the different type of light source associated with the other light sources is identified and power is provided to the other light sources in accordance with the different light source type identified.
