摘要: A method and apparatus that derives a curve of a mesh sequence from a frame of a video bitstream, the curve comprising a plurality of vertices; subdivides the curve by adding a plurality of subdivided vertices; calculates one or more displacement vectors between each of the plurality of vertices on the curve and each of the plurality of subdivided vertices on the subdivided curve; transforms the one or more displacement vectors to output one or more original coefficients; tracks the current frame with a previous frame to obtain a one-to-one correspondence between the plurality of vertices of the current frame and a plurality of vertices of the previous frame; predicts one or more coefficients of each of the plurality of vertices in current frame based on the one-to-one correspondence; performs entropy coding on one or more prediction residues; and encodes the one or more prediction residues.

摘要: There is provided an image processing device and an image processing method capable of suppressing reduction in access speed to decoding results stored in a storage area. Coded data is decoded to generate a video frame including geometry data and a video frame including attribute data, of a point cloud expressing a three-dimensional object as a set of points. Using table information associating each of a plurality of valid points of the point cloud with each of a plurality of successive small areas in a storage area, the geometry data and the attribute data of the plurality of valid points are stored in the small area of the storage area, associated with the valid point in the table information. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an image processing device, an electronic device, an image processing method, a program, or the like.

摘要: An encoding device evaluates a plurality of processing and/or post-processing algorithms and/or methods to be applied to a video stream, and signals a selected method, algorithm, class or category of methods/algorithms either in an encoded bitstream or as side information related to the encoded bitstream. A decoding device or post-processor utilizes the signaled algorithm or selects an algorithm/method based on the signaled method or algorithm. The selection is based, for example, on availability of the algorithm/method at the decoder/post-processor and/or cost of implementation. The video stream may comprise, for example, downsampled multiplexed stereoscopic images and the selected algorithm may include any of upconversion and/or error correction techniques that contribute to a restoration of the downsampled images.

摘要: A mechanism is described for facilitating adaptive resolution and viewpoint-prediction for immersive media in computing environments. An apparatus of embodiments, as described herein, includes one or more processors to receive viewing positions associated with a user with respect to a display, and analyze relevance of media contents based on the viewing positions, where the media content includes immersive videos of scenes captured by one or more cameras. The one or more processors are further to predict portions of the media contents as relevant portions based on the viewing positions and transmit the relevant portions to be rendered and displayed.

摘要: A system comprises an encoder configured to compress and encode data for a three-dimensional mesh using a video encoding technique. To compress the three-dimensional mesh, the encoder determines sub-meshes and for each sub-mesh: texture patches and geometry patches. Also the encoder determines patch connectivity information and patch texture coordinates for the texture patches and geometry patches. The texture patches and geometry patches are packed into video image frames and encoded using a video codec. Additionally, the encoder determines boundary stitching information for the sub-meshes. A decoder receives a bit stream as generated by the encoder and reconstructs the three-dimensional mesh.

摘要: A plurality of neighboring vertices of a current vertex in a current frame of a mesh is determined. The current frame corresponds to the mesh at a first time instance. Each of the plurality of neighboring vertices is connected to the current vertex through a respective edge in the mesh. A plurality of neighboring estimation errors of the plurality of neighboring vertices is determined. Each of the plurality of neighboring estimation errors indicates a difference between a reference vertex of a corresponding one of the plurality of neighboring vertices in a reference frame and the corresponding one of the plurality of neighboring vertices in the current frame. The reference frame corresponds to the mesh at a second time instance. A prediction residue of the current vertex is determined based on the plurality of neighboring estimation errors. Prediction information of the current vertex is generated based on the determined prediction residue.

A method of decoding an image includes receiving a bitstream in which the image is encoded; obtaining index information for specifying a block division type of a current block in the image; and determining the block division type of the current block from a candidate group pre-defined in the decoding apparatus. The candidate group includes a plurality of candidate division types, including at least one of a non-division, a first quad-division, a second quad-division, a binary-division or a triple-division. The method also includes dividing the current block into a plurality of sub-blocks; and decoding each of the sub-blocks with reference to syntax information obtained from the bitstream.
