    摘要: A base end of the foldably stretchable accordion screen 10 is fixed to an inner portion of the receptacle box frame 13 which constitutes one of the side frame members of a screen support frame structure, and the movable frame is attached to the fore end of the screen slidably along the screen support frame for opening and closing the screen toward and away from the receptacle frame. Fixed to the movable frame 18 are the ends of a plural number of tension cords 20a to 20d which are folded around turn-guide members 21b to 21d and 22 on the side frame member. A pendant weight 24 is attached to the other ends of the tension cords which are hung down in the side frame member, thereby to apply to the movable frame a biasing force in the screen opening direction. The pendant weight 24 is associated width a resistant mechanism 26 which serves to buffer the descending motion of the pendant weight as it reaches its lower stop position.

    摘要: The present invention is provided with a mechanism for controlling the opening and closing of a door comprising a speed reduction means for reducing a rotational speed. A high speed shaft is connected to the speed reduction means and is connectable to a means for rotating the input shaft, and a low speed output shaft is connected to the speed reduction means. A governor is mounted on the input shaft for limiting the rotational speed thereof, to also regulate the rotational speed of the output shaft. A brake is provided for preventing rotation of the output shaft, and a self-closing mechanism is operatively connected to the door. The self-closing mechanism is adapted for storing energy when the door is opened to an open position, and a connecting means operatively connects the output shaft to the self-closing mechanism. A releasing means is provided for releasing the brake to permit rotation of the output shaft under the urging of the self-closing mechanism whereby the self-closing mechanism releases the energy stored therein so as to close the door to a closed position when the brake is released by the releasing means.

    摘要: A method for controlling a sliding door system determines the masses and the frictional forces of all movably interconnected parts of the sliding door system. The system has a door leaf which is moved in an opening learning travel and a closing learning travel and guided without drive over respective first and second test sections. First and second energy balances are determined from the detected speed and distance travelled data of the first and second test sections respectively. The energy balances equate the kinetic energy at the beginning of a test section with the kinetic energy at the end of the test section plus the frictional energy plus the potential energy of a closing weight connected to the door leaf. The potential energy is added with a positive sign for opening travel and a negative sign for closing travel. The dynamic mass and the mean frictional force of the sliding door system can then be determined from the first and second energy balances. An apparatus for controlling the door motor in accordance with the method includes a microprocessor in a door drive with a memory for storing the speeds and distances associated with the learning travels. The microprocessor and the tachometer detect, store and process the speed and distance data, and the microprocessor determines the values for the dynamic mass and the mean frictional force and also the closing speed, which is the maximum permissible for safe operation of the door.

    摘要: For swingably mounting a door on a jamb, a dual action self closing hinge has a stationary component which seals, shields, and carries a stationary cam and a rotatable cam follower. The cam elements cooperate with one another to displace the cam follower and attached door panel upwardly during an opening movement and permit the automatic downward movement of the cam follower and door panel upon release of the door panel from an open position. Simultaneous with the cam action, an offset hinge mechanism elevates the center of gravity of the door panel during opening, and likewise provides for the automatic return of the door panel to the closed position to improve the self-closing action of the door. In addition, a cam angular position lock enables the closed position of the door relative to the jamb to be easily adjusted.

The opening of the top sash is unaffected, other than a slightly greater force being required to bypass the leaf spring and detent arrangement.

    摘要: An automatic closing device adapted for attachment to a sliding door having upper and lower horizontal frame members and supported between upper and lower track members is disclosed. The closing device comprises an elongated tubular member containing a counterweight that maintains an air tight seal as it moves up and down within the tubular member. A flexible cable attached at one end to the counterweight is anchored at its opposite end to an upper track member at a preselected location. An upper end element fits into the tubular member and has a pulley wheel for supporting the cable between its ends. A lower end element that fits into the lower end of the tubular member forms an air tight seal for a variable chamber below the counterweight. This lower end element has a check valve for allowing outside air to flow into the chamber while preventing air from flowing out of the chamber and it also supports a separate, adjustable bleed valve for allowing air to flow out of the chamber at a restricted rate so as to control the downward travel of the counterweight within the tubular member when the door is closing.

    摘要: A swinging gate is operated in one direction between open and closed positions by a winch and cable system driven by an electric motor which may be controlled remotely by radio, the winch and motor being carried on a support arm extending from a gatepost on one side of the gate. The gate is operated in the other direction by a falling weight connected to the gate by a cable extending around a pulley on a second support arm extending from the gatepost. The weight is raised when the gate is moved in the one direction by the winch and cable system and is held in raised position by the winch and cable while the gate remains in one of the open and closed positions. When the gate is to be moved in the other direction, the winch is released and the weight is allowed to fall. In a modification of the invention, the winch and cable system and weight are replaced by a reversible electrically operated linear actuator connected between the gate and a support arm extending from the gatepost.
