    摘要: One aspect relates to a frameless glass fencing hinge (10) for a frameless glass fencing installation a first leaf assembly (12) for operative attachment to a first glass panel or building structure. The frameless glass fencing hinge (10) includes a second leaf assembly (14) for operative attachment to a second glass panel. The second leaf assembly (14) is operatively adapted to undergo pivotal movement about a hinge axis (16) so as to move the second glass panel between a closed position an open position. The first leaf assembly (12) and the second leaf assembly (14) define a cam formation (16) operatively adapted to cause the second leaf assembly (14) to undergo axial movement along the hinge axis (16) between a rest position and a biased position when the second leaf (14) assembly undergoes pivotal movement about the hinge axis (16).

Also included in the hinge construction is a hinge pin that is held at the at least one opening. The hinge pin includes a hinge pin outer surface, a hinge pin bore extending through the entire length of the hinge pin and a hinge pin slot extending along the entire length of the hinge pin from the hinge pin outer surface to within the hinge pin bore. The at least one opening can be tapered, and the hinge pin outer surface can include a hinge pin outer surface first portion that also is tapered so as to be congruent with the at least one tapered opening. The hinge construction allows elements such as electrical wiring to be routed through the hinge construction.

    摘要: A self closing and adjustable closing force cam hinge includes a compression spring located on the hinge so that a hinge pin passes through the compression spring and the head of the hinge pin is retracted in a direction away from the compression spring to compress the compression spring. Compression of the spring applies a closing force to the hinge when the hinge is in the open position. The hinge also includes a spring adjuster having an adjustably positionable body that is adjustably positionable relative to the head of the hinge pin. Adjustment of the position of the adjustably positionable body raises or lowers the head of the hinge pin such that raising of the hinge pin increases compression of the compression spring to increase the closing force applied by the compression spring and lowering of the hinge decreases compression of the compression spring to decrease the closing force applied by the compression spring.

    摘要: A hinge arrangement includes a first hinge plate assembly including a pivot housing movable about a pivot axis and including a threaded adjustment pin transverse to the pivot axis away from the housing. A second hinge plate assembly includes an adjustment housing, the adjustment housing including a threaded portion. The threaded adjustment pin is threaded into the adjustment housing to connect the first hinge plate assembly to the second hinge plate assembly. Relative rotation between the threaded adjustment pin and the threaded portion of the adjustment housing causes the second hinge plate assembly to move along a length of the threaded adjustment pin, altering a spacing between a mount plate portion of the first hinge plate assembly and a mount plate portion of the second hinge plate assembly. A connection between the pivot housing and the first hinge plate assembly may include a torsional and/or gravity closing bias.

The mounting flange assembly has a lower hinge flange (18) which includes a cam recess (19) having multiple pivot pin mounting holes (25). A cam follower (30) mounted to the mounting flange assembly includes a cam portion (35), seating plate (34) configured to nest within the flange recess, and a mounting post (38). A pivot pin channel (44) extends through the seating plate. A pivot pin (45) is mounted to one of the three pivot pin mounting holes depending upon the desired offset of the strap assembly. The hinge includes three different cam followers each having a unique configuration and positioning of the cam portion, cam follower mounting post, and position of the pivot pin channel.

A hinge for coupling the door to the door frame can comprise a spine with an elongated passageway comprising first and second hinge receiving pocket portions. First and second cam members and a biasing spring can be mounted within the hinge receiving pocket portions of the elongated passageway. Upon pivoting of the door about the pivot axis to an open position, the first and second cam members are pivoted relative to one another to create a gap therebetween with the biasing spring urging the first cam member toward the second cam member to urge the door closed following pivoting of the door to the open position.
