    摘要： A method of suturing includes: (1) wrapping a first segment of a suture through a traction loop; (2) pulling the traction loop and the first segment through an opening in a suture lock; (3) continuing to pull the traction loop such that a second segment of the suture extends through the opening, wherein the second segment has a greater denier than the first segment such that the second segment more nearly fills an entire dimension of the opening than the first segment; and (4) locking the suture in place with the second segment in the opening.

    摘要： A warp knit fabric having a plurality of stitches formed by overlaps arranged in adjacent, longitudinally extending wales with transverse underlaps connecting the overlaps of adjacent wales and with a binder material extending along the wales is used to produce a chenille yarn having a core and a pile. The pile of the chenille yarn is defined by the slit transverse underlaps and the core is defined by the overlaps of the stitches and the binder. Either before or after slitting, either the fabric or the chenille yarns is(are) heated to activate the binder. A tensile force is imposed either during or after heating.

    摘要： A thread and a fabric are provided which are capable of being dyed to have a desired color and are formed of a metal-plated yarn excellent in antibacterial and electro-magnetic shielding properties. The thread for achieving this object is a composite thread (1) consisting of a chain stitch yarn (3) formed of a dyeable yarn and a metal-plated yarn (2) inserted as a core yarn into the chain stitch yarn (3). A fabric or a weft-knit product formed of the composite yarn (1) is excellent in antibacterial and electro-magnetic shielding properties and capable of having a favorable appearance of desired color. If the metal-plated yarn is directly arranged in the warp-knit fabric, the metal-plated yarn (51, 52, 53, 54) is preferably inserted to be invisible to a human eye from the surface of the warp-knit fabric.

    摘要： A fitted mattress cover is provided with a flat top panel and a knitted or woven fabric skirt attached to and depending from the periphery of the top panel. The lower edge of the skirt contains a band of longitudinally extending elastic yarns that were integrally incorporated into the edge during fabrication of the skirt fabric. The yarns of the elastic band provide sufficient tension to pull some of the skirt fabric under the mattress and provide a secure fit when the cover is installed on a mattress.
