摘要: A mobile communications network communicating data to/from communications devices, the network including base stations operable to provide a wireless access interface to communications devices; communications devices operable to communicate packets with the base stations via the wireless access interface; packet gateways operable to transmit user data packets received via the base stations from/to the communications devices; and mobility managers operable to send/receive signalling packets for controlling user data communications between communications devices and packet gateways. The mobility managers can, upon receiving a signalling packet from a communications device and including user data intended for a destination, detect the packet is not associated with any established signalling connection between the mobility managers and the communication device. The mobility managers can, responsive to the detection, transmit the user data in the signalling packet to the destination. Accordingly a short message may be sent in a reduced context or context-less manner.

摘要: Method, base unit and control node for misused aerial usage identification are disclosed. A method comprises: receiving location information of a mobile unit; judging whether the mobile unit is a registered aerial vehicle or an unregistered aerial vehicle; determining whether the mobile unit is in the state of flying based on the location information of the mobile unit; and identifying the mobile unit as a misused aerial vehicle in the condition that the mobile unit is determined as in the state of flying and is judged as the unregistered aerial vehicle.

摘要: Embodiments are directed towards employing parallel satellite and wire transmissions to facilitate 5G communications. A network origination system receives, via 5G communication, a message from an origination device for distribution to a destination device. The network origination system determines a priority of the message and selects a transmission mechanism—wire transmission, satellite transmission, or parallel transmission—in which to transmit the message to the network destination system based on the priority. The network origination system transmits the message to a network destination system via the selected transmission mechanism. The network destination system forwards the message to the destination device and determines if the message is tagged for the parallel transmission. If the message is tagged for parallel transmission, the network destination system determines if the message is received via wire transmission and satellite transmission within a time window associated with a transmission time obtained from the message.

More particularly, systems and methods for providing the location of a requested user's cellular phone from a requesting user's device (e.g., a second cellular phone) based on access rights defined by the requested user. Location descriptions may be provided at a multitude of levels. For example, if a cellular phone, or an identity associated to (e.g., logged into) a cellular phone, has been given access rights to a cell phone's exact location for an indefinite amount of time, that cell phone can receive, on command, the exact location of the approved cell phone. Other levels of location information that can be granted include, for example, proximities, states, and countries.

摘要: As wireless communication technology advances, the bandwidth usage of wireless communications systems becomes increasingly flexible. For example, different user equipment (UEs) may support different bandwidths or radio frequency capabilities. However, a scheduling entity may not know wireless capabilities or characteristics (e.g., supported bandwidths, RF chain configurations, reconfiguration times, and/or the like) of the UEs for which the scheduling entity is to manage communications, which may hamper the ability of the scheduling entity to take advantage of the advances in flexible bandwidth usage described above. Techniques for synchronization, scheduling, bandwidth allocation, and reference signal transmission in a wireless communications system associated with flexible bandwidth allocation, such as a 5G network, are described herein.
