The glass sheet cutting device includes two or more cutters for cutting a glass sheet into quadrangular glass substrates, a defect inspector for scanning the glass sheet to three-dimensionally check defect positions in a length direction, a width direction and a thickness direction of the glass sheet, a position adjuster for moving at least one of the cutters to a portion of the glass sheet at which few defects are distributed, and a controller for informing the position adjuster of positions of the cutters based on the scanned results received from the defect inspector.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for forming vents (13) in glass sheets (10). The method includes repetitively performing the steps of: (I) bringing a score head (21) and a platen (31) into contact with, respectively, the front (11) and rear (12) major surfaces of the glass sheet (10), (II) moving the score head (21) across the front major surface (11) along a predetermined path to form a vent (13), and (III) withdrawing the score head (21) and the platen (31) from the front (11) and rear (12) major surfaces, wherein: (i) the thickness (δ) of the glass sheet is less than or equal to 500 microns, and (ii) for each repetition of steps (I) through (III), the platen (31) is cleaned after step (III) and before step (I) to remove glass chips which if left on the platen (31) could cause the score head (21) to penetrate through the thickness δ.

The surface of the translucent glass plate 1, which is 4 to 25 mm in thickness, is impressed to form a plurality of radial cracks 7 each having a diameter of 0.01 to 3.0 mm, so that dots of the cracks 7 form an arbitrary character or pattern to thereby manufacture the decorative glass product. The light-transmitting decorative glass product includes the decorative glass, and a light source which is disposed so as to allow a highly directive irradiating beam to be incident upon any one of the four sides of the translucent glass plate 1 and enter the translucent glass plate.
