    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) procedure for the random access channel (RACH) response message in a two-step RACH procedure. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes sending a RACH message to a base station (BS) during a two-step RACH procedure. The RACH message includes a RACH preamble and a RACH payload. The UE monitors a RACH response message from the BS during a random access response (RAR) window. The UE transmits a retransmission of the RACH message, an acknowledgement (ACK) to the RACH response message, a negative acknowledgment (NACK) to the RACH response message, or does not transmit, to the BS based on whether a RACH response message carrying a success RAR or a fallback RAR, or no RACH response message, is received from the BS during the window.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be receive a grant configuration including multiple set of parameters, and the UE may select a set of parameters from the configured grant based on a channel condition. In some examples, the UE may be configured to signal to a network (e.g., a base station) the selected set of parameters and their corresponding parameter values. For example, the UE may be configured to signal the selected set of parameters over semi-static signaling (e.g., radio resource control (RRC) messaging) or dynamic signaling (e.g., medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) messaging, uplink control information (UCI) messaging, or the like). By configuring the UE with multiple set of parameters, the UE may adapt to changing channel conditions, which may provide higher reliability and lower latency for wireless communications, as well as reduce power consumption for the UE.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which enhance Mode 2 multi-TRP operation by allowing a UE to recover and reconfigure a failed PDCCH beam of a first TRP in a serving cell by using a second TRP which still has a working PDCCH in the same serving cell. If the first TRP undergoes beam failure but the second TRP in the same cell has an operational beam, the UE may send a beam failure indication indicating a new beam for the PDCCH of the first TRP. The base station comprising the second TRP may then reconfigure the PDCCH serving beams of the first TRP based on the beam failure indication. The reliability of a serving cell may thus be increased.

In one aspect, a method of wireless communication comprising: determining, by a user equipment (UE), a beam failure recovery for a serving cell; transmitting, by the UE, a beam failure recovery request for the serving cell; and transmitting, by the UE, a MAC CE including new beam information and including serving cell identification information multiple serving cells, including the serving cell, wherein the serving cell identification information identifies the multiple serving cells.
