Abstract: A method and apparatus for downlink and uplink control management of component carriers during carrier aggregation in a new radio wireless communication system is disclosed. For example, the method and apparatus include receiving, at a user equipment (UE), a slot format indicator in at least one slot of at least one component carrier of a plurality of component carriers from a network entity, where the at least one component carrier includes a group common Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), the slot format indicator within the group common PDCCH indicating at least slot structure information for one or more other component carriers from the plurality of component carriers; and communicating, with the network entity, using the at least slot structure information for the one more other component carriers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may identify a transport block (TB) size for a TB that is scheduled across a set of component carriers (CCs) including a first CC and a second CC. The TB may include a first code block (CB) and a second CB. The device may rate match the TB with the set of CCs. Based on the rate matching, the device may identify redundancy portions of the first CB and redundancy portions of the second CB. The device may allocate a first redundancy portion of the first CB and a first redundancy portion of the second CB to the first CC, and may allocate a second redundancy portion of the first CB and a second redundancy portion of the second CB to the second CC. The device may transmit the TB over the set of CCs based on the allocating.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that multiple physical uplink channels scheduled for the UE overlap. The multiple physical uplink channels may include a first physical uplink channel and a second physical uplink channel that are associated with different priority levels. The UE may transmit at least one of the first physical uplink channel or the second physical uplink channel according to a prioritization or a multiplexing of the first physical uplink channel and the second physical uplink channel. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a report that includes measurements associated with one or more downlink reference signals that are received using a set of candidate downlink beams. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may provide hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for multiple physical channels (e.g., multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCH)) scheduled via multi-component carrier. The UE may monitor control channel occasions (e.g., physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) occasions), to receive wireless communications from a base station (e.g., a next-generation NodeBs (gNB)). For example, the UE may receive multiple downlink control information (DCI) messages that may schedule multiple PDSCH over different component carriers. The UE may identify one or multiple downlink assignment indices (DAI) in the received DCI messages. In some examples, the UE may generate one or more feedback bits of a HARQ feedback codebook (also referred to as an acknowledgement codebook). The one or more feedback bits include a same number of feedback bits for each downlink assignment index associated with each DCI message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support codebook construction for enhanced hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to support a first type of HARQ feedback and a second type of HARQ feedback that includes additional information relative to the first type. A base station may transmit multiple downlink transmissions to the UE, where a first set of the downlink transmissions may be associated with the first type of HARQ feedback and a second set of the downlink transmissions may be associated with the second type of HARQ feedback. The UE may attempt to decode the downlink transmissions and may generate respective feedback for the downlink transmissions. The UE may construct a single HARQ codebook to multiplex the different types of HARQ feedback for the downlink transmissions and may transmit the HARQ codebook to the base station.
