Abstract: Aspects relate to adaptation of the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a downlink transmission to a scheduled entity that overlaps in time with an uplink transmission from the scheduled entity when the scheduled entity is operating in a full-duplex mode. A transport block corresponding to the downlink transmission may include a plurality of code block groups (CBGs). When at least a portion of the CBGs overlap in time with the uplink transmission, the MCS of the entire transport block or the MCS of the overlapping CBGs may be adjusted to accommodate and/or mitigate interference between downlink and uplink transmissions. The CBGs may further be time-interleaved over a plurality of symbols allocated for the downlink transmission to accommodate and/or mitigate interference between downlink and uplink transmissions. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Full-duplex communication techniques are described. Some aspects may utilize full-duplex-slot formats, such as may be provided in addition to or in the alternative to uplink, downlink, and flexible slot formats. A full-duplex slot implemented in accordance with a full-duplex-slot format provides a slot in which the frequency band may be used for both uplink and downlink transmissions. Downlink and/or uplink transmissions of a full-duplex slot may occur in overlapping frequency bands or in adjacent frequency bands. A first wireless device may transmit slot signaling comprising one or more full-duplex-slot-indicator parameters. A second wireless device may base one or more full-duplex slot configuration determinations on a full-duplex-slot configuration. The second wireless device may apply one or more full-duplex-slot-indicator-parameter rules with respect to full-duplex-slot-indicator parameters for determining a full-duplex-slot format. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Wireless communications systems as described herein may be configured to support several service types with different latency, reliability, or throughput rates or standards. One such service type may be referred to as high-reliability, low latency communication (HRLLC). Enhancements to improve HRLLC performance in coexistence with and as a complement to legacy service types, such as LTE are described. These include, for example, downlink and uplink control enhancements, channel state information (CSI) feedback enhancements, physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) enhancements, and UL power control enhancements to support HRLLC.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems may configure a subset of allocated resources (e.g., one or more resource elements (REs) of one or more allocated resource blocks (RBs)) as peak reduction tones (PRTs) for a peak-cancelation signal. For instance, wireless communications systems may configure a fixed PRT allocation based on a Costas array. In some examples, each column of a Costas array may correspond to a RB of a set of allocated resources. A transmitting device may thus identify one or more PRT REs based on the Costas array and a mapping of allocated RBs to the columns of the Costas array. For instance, a transmitting device may identify a pattern of PRT REs to use for a peak-cancellation signal based at least in part on a configured Costas array (e.g., where the peak-cancellation signal may reduce peaks of a corresponding data signal to ultimately reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of a transmission).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may use low latency communications to improve the throughput of a wireless link. To facilitate efficient low latency communication, the UE may send UE-initiated CSI reports in addition to periodic and base station-initiated reports. For example, the UE may, in various examples, send UE-initiated CSI reports using contention based spectrum, using a request-to-transmit, or using a CSI differential (i.e., an indicator of a change in channel conditions). The base station may schedule different UEs for uplink low latency communication by providing resources to each UE for CSI and scheduling requests (SRs) using coherent or non-coherent uplink transmissions. The CSI and SR may also be combined with uplink feedback.

Abstract: Techniques provide for identifying uplink resources that are to be used for uplink transmissions using shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs), such as low latency or high reliability transmissions. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine separate uplink (UL) power limitations for multiple transmission time interval (TTI) durations based on distinct power control parameters. In some cases, an adjustment factor or a power backoff may be applied to communications using one TTI duration to ensure that total transmit power does not exceed a threshold. The UE and the serving base station may also identify one or more demodulation reference signal (DMRS) windows. UL data transmissions may be demodulated based on a DMRS sent during the same window. Transmit power control (TPC) commands may be applied at the beginning of each window. However, if an UL transmission is scheduled at the beginning of the window, the UE may wait until a DMRS transmission or until no more transmissions are scheduled for the window before applying the TPC adjustment.
