    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques relate to the categorization of resources in a system to enable a user equipment (UE) to determine whether resources may be reclaimed. At least two categories may be defined for the resources, and the UE may use various criteria for categorizing the resources in a system. For example, the UE may include a first set of resources in an “available” category and a second set of resources in an “occupied” category. Resources in the “occupied” category may be indicated as occupied by another UE's sidelink channel information. In cases where resources are indicated as reserved for retransmission by another UE, but no feedback is detected, then the UE may use additional parameters to determine whether those resources may be reclaimed for its own transmission and may categorize the resources accordingly.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system may receive configuration information from an assisting node, such as a roadside unit (RSU), for calculating location information for a target UE in the V2X system. The assisting node may reflect one or more radar signals from the UE towards the target, and from the target back towards the UE according to the configuration information. That is, the assisting node may modify one or more waveform parameters of the reflection according to the configuration information. The UE may calculate location information for the target based on the reflection, such as by classifying the target as non-line-of-sight (NLOS) based on modified waveform parameters, location information of the assisting node, or both.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one aspect, a base station may transmit an indication of a communications mode capability associated with establishing a connection with the base station, and a user equipment (UE) may establish a connection with the base station if the UE has the communications mode capability. In this aspect, the base station may bar UEs that lack the communications mode capability from establishing a connection with the base station such that the base station may avoid configuring or scheduling communications differently for devices with different capabilities. In another aspect, a base station may transmit an indication of whether the base station operates in a full-duplex mode, a half-duplex mode, or both, and a UE may establish a connection with the base station based on whether the base station operates in the full-duplex mode, the half-duplex mode, or both.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for coordinated slot-based radar sensing. A first radar device, which may be a radar group leader, may broadcast information indicative of a wireless device group that includes the first wireless device. The first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device that receives the broadcast information, a request to join the wireless device group that includes the first wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit, to the second wireless device based on the request, a grant or rejection to join the wireless device group that includes the first wireless device. The first wireless device may further transmit a transmission schedule to at least one wireless device of the wireless device group, where the at least one wireless device may include the second wireless device if the first wireless device transmits the grant.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmission-adjusting wireless node may transmit a first communication via a sidelink channel. The transmission-adjusting wireless node may receive, from a feedback-reporting wireless node, transmission-specific information relating to at least one of a channel quality of the sidelink channel or a power level for the transmission-adjusting wireless node. The transmission-specific information may be based at least in part on the first communication. The transmission-adjusting wireless node may adjust, based at least in part on the transmission-specific information, a transmission property of the transmission-adjusting wireless node to obtain an adjusted transmission property. The transmission-adjusting wireless node may transmit a second communication via the sidelink channel using the adjusted transmission property. Numerous other aspects are provided.

For instance, a first user equipment (UE) may identify a configuration for an assisting node (AN) that includes an indication of a set of time resources during which the AN is active and an indication of location information that indicates communication direction information corresponding to communications via the AN during the set of time resources. The first UE may select a time resource from the set of time resources based on the indication of location information, a location of the first UE, and information associated with a packet for transmission from the first UE to a second UE via the assisting node. The first UE may transmit the packet over the selected time resource.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) within a coverage area of a base station may determine a power control configuration. The first UE may transmit an indication of the power control configuration to a second UE, which may adjust one or more power control parameters based on the indication. The one or more power control parameters may include a target received power, a compensation factor, a downlink path loss between the base station and the first UE, or a combination thereof. The second UE may use the adjusted one or more power control parameters to determine a transmit power and may transmit a message to the first UE with the determined transmit power. In some cases, the second UE may be outside of the coverage area of the base station.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using ranging signals to determine a position of a pedestrian user equipment (P-UE). In an aspect, a UE receives a plurality of ranging signals transmitted by one or more UEs, measures one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals.     Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus may receive from a second device a first data packet in one or more receiving slots of a time division duplex frame that includes a plurality of slots. The apparatus may determine whether the first data packet is received incorrectly. The apparatus may wait until the end of the one or more receiving slots and may transmit to the second device a first NACK in a NACK feedback symbol in a configured slot after the end of the one or more receiving slots in response to determining that the first data packet was not received correctly.
