摘要: The present invention provides a computer-implemented method of identifying a drug with which to y treat a patient, the method comprising the steps of : a. providing a dataset of expression values of biological markers from a sample taken from said patient; b. using said dataset of expression values to calculate a plurality of drug response distance values Dn for each of a plurality of drugs dn, wherein D for each drug d is the difference between the distribution of expression of biological markers of sensitivity to drug d relative to the distribution of expression of biological markers of resistance to drug d; c. providing one or more trained predictive models, wherein the one or more trained predictive models have been trained on a plurality of drug response distance values Dn for at least the same plurality of drugs dn as in step b; and wherein the one or more trained predictive models have been trained to provide a ranking of the drugs from said plurality of drugs dn in order of their predicted efficacy in said sample taken from said patient; d. inputting said plurality of drug response distance values Dn obtained in step b. into said one or more trained predictive models; and e. providing, using one or more of the trained predictive models, a ranking of the drugs from said plurality of drugs do in order of their predicted efficacy in said patient.

摘要: A computer-implemented method of processing audio data, the method comprising receiving input audio data (x) comprising a time-series of amplitude values; transforming the input audio data (x) into an input frequency band decomposition (X1) of the input audio data (x); transforming the input frequency band decomposition (X1) into a first latent representation (Z); processing the first latent representation (Z) by a first deep neural network to obtain a second latent representation (Z{circumflex over ( )}, Z1{circumflex over ( )}); transforming the second latent representation (Z{circumflex over ( )}, Z1{circumflex over ( )}) to obtain a discrete approximation (X3{circumflex over ( )}); element-wise multiplying the discrete approximation (X3{circumflex over ( )}) and a residual feature map (R, X5{circumflex over ( )}) to obtain a modified feature map, wherein the residual feature map (R, X5{circumflex over ( )}) is derived from the input frequency band decomposition (X1); processing a pre-shaped frequency band decomposition by a waveshaping unit to obtain a waveshaped frequency band decomposition (X1{circumflex over ( )}, X1.2{circumflex over ( )}), wherein the pre-shaped frequency band decomposition is derived from the input frequency band decomposition (X1), wherein the waveshaping unit comprises a second deep neural network; summing the waveshaped frequency band decomposition (X1{circumflex over ( )}, X1.2{circumflex over ( )}) and a modified frequency band decomposition (X2{circumflex over ( )}, X1.1{circumflex over ( )}) to obtain a summation output (X0{circumflex over ( )}), wherein the modified frequency band decomposition (X2{circumflex over ( )}, X1.1{circumflex over ( )}) is derived from the modified feature map; and transforming the summation output (X0{circumflex over ( )}) to obtain target audio data (y{circumflex over ( )}).

摘要: Mechanical circulatory supports configured to operate in series with the native heart are disclosed. In an embodiment, an intravascular propeller is installed into the descending aorta and anchored within via an expandable anchoring mechanism. The propeller and anchoring mechanism may be foldable so as to be percutaneously deliverable to the aorta. The propeller may have foldable blades. The blades may be magnetic and may be driven by a concentric electromagnetic stator circumferentially outside the magnetic blades. The stator may be intravascular or may be configured to be installed around the outer circumference of the blood vessel. The support may create a pressure rise between about 20-50 mmHg, and maintain a flow rate of about 5 L/min. The support may have one or more pairs of contra-rotating propellers to modulate the tangential velocity of the blood flow. The support may have static pre-swirlers and or de-swirlers. The support may be optimized to replicate naturally occurring vortex formation within the descending aorta.
