摘要: The disclosure relates to lipid-coated calcium carbonate nanoparticles, said nanoparticles comprising an outer layer and a core being calcium carbonate nanoparticle, wherein said core is vaterite, proto-vaterite, or amorphous calcium carbonate as determined by X-Ray diffraction, wherein said core is at least partially coated with one or more amphiphilic compounds each having one hydrophilic head and at least one hydrophobic tail, remarkable in that the hydrophilic heads are negatively charged and form the outer layer of the nanoparticles, in that the nanoparticles have a surface charge having a ζ-potential below 0 mV as determined by micro-electrophoretic light scattering technology and in that said one or more amphiphilic compounds are PEG-free. The disclosure also relates to methods for forming such nanoparticles, for modulating the electrical charge of such nanoparticles as well as to the uses of such nanoparticles.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a rubber composition comprising 100 phr of one or more diene-based elastomers, 30 phr to 200 phr of a filler, and a benzoxazine which is the reaction of (i) a diphenol comprising two phenol groups and a bridge covalently connecting the two phenol groups, (ii) an aldehyde derivative, and (iii) an amine, wherein the bridge is connected to at least one of the phenol groups at a meta position of said at least one phenol group. The present invention is also directed to a rubber product comprising such a rubber composition and the use of such rubber products in tire components.

摘要: A pH sensor comprises: a chamber for receiving an electrolyte solution; a first and a second ion-sensitive field effect transistor (ISFETs), each of the first and second ISFETs having a source terminal, a drain terminal and a transistor channel extending between the source terminal and the drain terminal, a dielectric layer with a sensing surface arranged in the chamber so as to be contactable by the electrolyte solution, the dielectric layer separating the sensing surface from the transistor channel; a first measurement circuit configured to measure a first source-drain resistance across the transistor channel of the first ISFET; and a second measurement circuit configured to measure a second source-drain resistance across the transistor channel of the second ISFET. The first and second measurement circuits include a common reference electrode, the reference electrode arranged contactable by the electrolyte solution in the chamber. The dielectric layer of first ISFET has a first thickness and the dielectric layer of the second ISFET has a second thickness different from the first thickness.

摘要: An aspect of the invention pertains to an affinity biosensor for sensing an analyte (a biomolecule) in a fluid, comprising an interface for contacting the fluid and adsorption of the analyte. The interface comprises a binary pattern of nanoscale regions having affinity for the analyte and a passivated region. The nanoscale regions are isolated from one another by the passivated region in such a way that adsorption of the analyte on the interface is confined to the nanoscale regions. The nanoscale regions have diameters comprised in the range from 5 to 200 nm. The nanoscale regions have together a surface area amounting to at least 15% of the surface area of the interface. A further aspect of the invention relates to a method of using such a sensor.
