    摘要: A plurality of images of portions of a fingerprint surface is generated by measuring structural features the portions of the surface with a sensor array as the surface is moved relative to the array. A two-dimensional image of the fingerprint surface is constructed from a portion of the plurality of images. In one embodiment, a varying voltage is applied to a finger positioned over an exciting electrode and a capacitive sensor array, and the capacitance or impedance through the finger is measured between the electrode and the array to detect variations in capacitance or impedance caused by variations in the structural features of the fingerprint surface. In one embodiment, the speed of the fingerprint surface relative to the sensor array is determined by sensing features of the fingerprint surface at two spaced-apart sensing elements and determining the speed from the distance between the sensing elements and the time lapse between passage of identical features of the fingerprint surface from one of the sensing elements to the other.

    摘要: This invention provides a storage-stable dosage form of a thyroxine active drug composition which exhibits an improved stability. The formulation contains a thyroxine active drug substance and an antioxidant, and, optionally, additional pharmaceutically accepted excipients. Levothyroxine sodium is the preferred active drug substance, butylated hydroxyanisole is the preferred antioxidant. Additional preferred excipients include, for example, microcrystalline cellulose, sucrose, mannitol, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

    摘要: A valve actuation system and method for use in an internal combustion engine including at least one combustion cylinder having a piston and an engine valve. The valve actuation system includes a hydraulic pump, a high-pressure reservoir, and an electro-hydraulic valve actuator. The hydraulic pump is configured to produce a hydraulic output based on a valve-piston clearance profile of at least one cylinder of the combustion engine. The high-pressure reservoir is coupled with the hydraulic pump. The electro-hydraulic valve actuator is coupled with the high-pressure reservoir via a first control valve and configured to actuate at least one engine valve of the combustion engine according to an output of the hydraulic pump.

    摘要: An internal combustion cylinder assembly includes a cylinder having a combustion chamber and a piston. An intake valve provides a working fluid to the combustion chamber while the piston moves from a top dead center position to a bottom dead center position. A pre-combustion chamber is connected communicably to the combustion chamber via a Suder valve and conveys a portion of the working fluid to the pre-combustion chamber while the Suder valve is substantially open. The Suder valve may open substantially simultaneously with the intake valve, remain substantially open while the piston moves from the top dead center position to the bottom dead center position during an intake stroke, and close substantially while the piston is returning to the top dead center position during a compression stroke.
