The method comprises the following steps: according to pre-configured system carrier information, obtaining effective carrier information containing an effective carrier channel corresponding to each effective carrier; performing sampling on carrier data of each effective carrier channel according to the obtained effective carrier information, and then calculating combination power Pa of effective carriers before digital up conversion or digital peak clipping cancellation according to the sampling; and using the combination power Pa of the effective carriers to perform power adjustment before digital pre-distortion. The present invention moves power calculation ahead of an up conversion module, fully utilizes inherent delay of digital up conversion and a peak clipping module to offset time required for the power calculation, and effectively reduces system delay.

In an example implementation, a channel profile for a multipath channel is estimated by detecting, within a given range, a number of channel taps associated with a channel impulse response, and assigning each of those channel taps a uniform amplitude value corresponding to a constant signal strength. A signal may be received through the multipath channel and filtered based on the estimated channel profile.

Disclosed are techniques for handling of radio frequency (RF) front-end group delays for roundtrip time (RTT) estimation. In an aspect, a network node transmits first and second RTT measurement (RTTM) signals to a user equipment (UE) and receives first and second RTT response (RTTR) signals from the UE. The network node measures the transmission times of the RTTM signals and the reception times of the RTTR signals, and the UE measures the transmission times the RTTM signals and the transmission times of the RTTR signals. The group delays of the transmit/receive chains of the network node and the UE are determined for one set of transmit/receive chains based on the first RTTM signal and first RTTR signal. The group delays of the transmit/receive chain used for the second RTTM signal and the second RTTR signal are determined relative to the group delay of the one set of transmit/receive chains.
