Abstract: This invention discloses a linear programmer for controlling parts of a servo system by a fluid pressure. The programmer comprises a first body with a longitudinal bore. A second body is joined to the first body forming a manifold therebetween. Apertures in the first body provide fluid communication between the bore and manifold. A plunger is disposed so as to be longitudinally movable within the bore to connect and disconnect the manifold to a source of sub-atmospheric fluid pressure to thereby activate the parts of the system.

Abstract: A multiple position valve which has a set of nesting actuating pistons whose strokes are limited to properly position the valve. The varying pilot pressure applied to the nested pistons is opposed at the opposite end of the valve by a fixed supply pressure exerted on a single piston. Pilot pressure as it is increased moves the nested piston until each one reaches the end of its stroke so that a predetermined pilot pressure will move the nested pistons to a certain seating of selected pistons and thereby position the valve at its desired position.

Abstract: This invention relates to a vented ball-type angle cock for use at each end of the brake pipe on a railway vehicle in which the brake pipe hose connected to the angle cock outlet is vented to atmosphere in the cock closed position via a drilled passageway extending through the ball valve, a guide bushing carried by the ball valve, and a trunnion on one end of which is rotatably supported the bushing, the opposite end of this trunnion being supported on the bottom of the cavity in the angle cock body in which the ball valve is so disposed that in its open position a communication is established between the brake pipe and the hose that is connected to the hose at the adjacent end of the brake pipe on the next car in a train.

Abstract: A breathing system control valve having a housing with a distribution chamber therein which communicates with a source of air under pressure. A shaft which extends into the distribution chamber engages a plurality of discs and is operatively connected to a motor which provides the shaft with a rotative torque to alternately communicate air under pressure through a portion of the discs to either a first chamber or a second chamber wherein an oxygen enriched product effluent is developed while another portion of the discs allows a purge fluid from the other of the first and second chambers to escape to the atmosphere. Prior to the transfer of the air under pressure from one of the first and second chambers to the other, an equalization passage is opened to permit communication therebetween to establish a rapid operational build-up of air under pressure.

Abstract: The present valving apparatus is especially adapted for use in conduits through which construction mixtures, such as concrete mixtures, flow. The valving apparatus is constructed for cooperation with a pump having two pistons in two respective pump cylinders. For this purpose, there are provided a cylindrical valve housing having first ports connected to said pump, second ports connected to conveying conduit means, and third ports connected to supply means, as well as a three member two position valve plug movable back and forth in said valve housing. The valve plug has a central member with a substantially straight passage way and, adjacent to said central member, two end members with curved passage ways, whereby, depending on the position of the valve plug, one of the pump cylinders is connected to said conveying conduit means while the other pump cylinder is connected to the supply means or vice versa.

Abstract: A mixing valve for use in a faucet includes a sleeve which may be formed of plastic and a stem positioned within the sleeve and reciprocal and rotatable relative thereto. The sleeve has hot and cold water inlet ports and at least one outlet port. The stem has inlet and outlet openings such that movement of the stem is effective to control the volume and temperature of water discharged from the sleeve.
