    摘要: The present invention relates to the development of tracer fluids, more generally, that of aqueous liquids, intended to be injected under pressure in an oil reservoir, for example from an injection well up to a production well.The object of the invention is to propose a new method of study of a solid medium, i.e. an oil reservoir, by diffusion of a liquid (i.e. injection waters) containing tracers, through said solid medium, which is simple to implement and economical and which remedies the drawbacks of the known tracers for injection waters of oil reservoirs.This method essentially consisting of injecting, in this solid medium, an injection liquid comprising a nanoparticle-based tracer having average dimensions comprised between 20 and 200 nm, detectable by means of one or several S signals at dilutions of less than or equal to 10−7, adapted to form a stable colloidal suspension in a saline medium, at least a portion of which is constituted of a core and a coating provided with an adjustable hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) and comprising at least one organic and/or organosilicon component; recovering the liquid having diffused; and analyzing this liquid having diffused to measure the quantity of tracer by detection of the signal or signals S.

    摘要: Some embodiments relate to a method for producing, from sulfur-rich type IIs kerogen, a sweetened synthetic crude having a sulfur concentration of at most 1% wt/wt, a nitrogen concentration of at most 0.2% wt/wt and an API gravity of at least 30°. Hydrotreating is performed under only low-severity conditions of at most about 350 degrees Celsius and a maximum pressure of at most 120 atmospheres. In some embodiments, the feedstock to the hydrotreater comprises hydrocarbon pyrolysis liquids generated primarily by low temperature pyrolysis of the sulfur-rich type IIs kerogen. For example, the feedstock may be rich in easier-to-hydrotreat heterocyclic species. In some embodiments, it is possible to optimize the pyrolysis process by monitoring relative concentrations of the easier-to-hydrotreat heterocyclics and the harder-to-treat heterocyclics.

    摘要: Aqueous treating fluids may include a viscoelastic surfactant (VES) and an aqueous base fluid, e.g. a drilling fluid, whereby the VES may increase and/or maintain the viscosity of the aqueous treating fluid. Metal ions may be present within the aqueous treating fluid that break, reduce, and/or digest the VES within the aqueous treating fluid. An effective amount of complexation particles may be added to the aqueous treating fluid for complexing at least a portion of these metal ions and thereby disallowing the metal ions from breaking, reducing, and/or altering the VES within the aqueous treating fluid.

Specifically, embodiments relate to a method of synthesizing mixed molecular weight additives from a mixture of primary alcohols comprising, receiving a mixture of primary alcohols comprising at least two different chain length primary alcohols and reacting the mixture of primary alcohols to produce a mixture of Guerbet alcohols. The mixture of Guerbet alcohols is then used to produce an additive composition comprising additives of different molecular weights.
