    摘要: A cutting unit includes a spindle, a spindle housing, a support flange on the front of the spindle, a cutting blade detachably supported to the support flange, and a fixing flange for fixing the cutting blade to the support flange. The support flange includes a boss portion adapted to be inserted through a central opening of the cutting blade, a flange portion for supporting one side surface of the cutting blade, and a cylindrical portion for engaging the front of the spindle. The flange portion has a suction hole opening toward the fixing flange, and the cylindrical portion has a communication hole communicating with the suction hole. The communication hole is connected to a vacuum source through a rotary joint fixed to the spindle housing so that communication between the communication hole and the vacuum source is selectively made by an on-off valve.

    摘要: A power tool having a housing, a motor, a tool holder driven about an output axis by the motor, and an output element for performing an operation on a workpiece. The tool holder has a locating feature including a tapered portion becoming narrower in a direction away from the surface of the tool holder. The output element has an aperture for receiving the locating feature and a face facing the surface of the tool holder when the locating feature is received. The power tool also includes a flange for transferring a clamping force for urging the output element towards the tool holder and a tab projecting from the flange for finger tightening the flange. A biasing member provides the clamping force toollessly. A gap is defined between the surface of the tool holder and the face when the tapered portion of the locating feature is fully received in the aperture.

    摘要: An accessory clamping mechanism for clamping an accessory to a working mandrel of a power tool wherein the working mandrel has a mandrel flange and a first longitudinal axis. The accessory clamping mechanism includes: at least one clamping member; a thrust member for supporting the clamping member; an elastic member by which the thrust member is biased towards a clamped position; a driving assembly for forcing the thrust member and the clamping member to move along the first longitudinal axis, the driving assembly comprising a driving member moved between a first position in which the accessory is in the clamped position and a second position in which the accessory is in a released position, the thrust member and the clamping member being driven by the driving member to move along the first longitudinal axis; and a motion converting member for driving the clamping member to move in a direction different from the first longitudinal axis.

    摘要: A high speed thrust bearing assembly is provided for use on a hand-held circular saw. The thrust bearing assembly is held in place within a plastic housing which has a through hole therethrough. The plastic housing further has a first counterbore which is larger than the through hole, and a second counterbore which is larger than the first counterbore. A high speed thrust plate is placed within the plastic housing. The thrust plate has a flange section and a bearing section. The bearing section has an indentation therein. The thrust plate is placed within the plastic housing so that the bearing section is disposed through the through hole of the plastic housing with the flange section being held within the first counterbore. A sleeve bearing is thereafter placed within the second counterbore and surrounds a rotating shaft. The rotating shaft has a terminal end with a cylindrical projection thereon which matingly fits within the indentation of the bearing section in the thrust plate.

    摘要: A quick release mechanism for disengaging the cutting blade of a masonry saw is disclosed. Rotation of a threaded shaft to achieve axial movement through a closed partially threaded split collar lowers the cutting tool onto the work surface via a counterpivot mechanism which simultaneously compresses a gas spring. Only one half of the collar has threads complementary to those of the threaded shaft and pivots away from an opposing fixed unthreaded collar portion. Upon actuation of a release device, the threaded portion of the split collar pivots to an open position to disengage the threaded shaft whereby reverse axial movement of the threaded shaft and resultant upward disengagement of the cutting tool occur as the gas spring decompresses.

    摘要: An inside diameter cutting blade is mounted in a circular saw blade housing. The cutting blade is tensioned by pressurized hydraulic fluid within a channel which causes a fluid-tight gasket in the channel to bear against and tension the outer circumference of the blade. Accurate and uniform tensioning of the cutting blade is accomplished by the pressure of the hydraulic fluid, which uniformly deforms the gasket. The hydraulic fluid is water soluble and permits easy clean-up should any of the fluid leak past the gasket. The use of a bleed fitting permits total release of tensioning pressure, required during blade changes without complete removal of tensioning fluid thus permitting return to full blade tensioning pressure in greatly reduced time.

The holding members are movable between a first position, in which the holding members fixedly hold a tool accessory against a tool mounting part of the spindle with the claws pressed against the tool accessory owing to a biasing force of the biasing member, and a second position, in which the holding members do not impede or block attachment or detachment of the tool accessory. The locking member is configured to move between a locking position, in which the locking member abut on the claws of the holding members to hold the holding members in the second position, and an unlocking position, in which the locking member does not impede or block the holding members from moving from the second position to the first position.
