    摘要: A five sheet single-layer duct wrap consists of two sheets of fiber-insulation-blanket, one on each side of an aluminum or stainless steel foil sheet completely encased by a three-ply laminate sheet comprising an outer-most aluminum foil backing ply, followed by a fiberglass scrim ply, and then a ply of aluminized polyester face. The laminate sheet provides a top and bottom sheet in a cross-sectional view. A seven sheet wrap consists of a protective cloth central sheet or an intumescent mat sandwiched between two sheets of aluminum or stainless steel foil sandwiched between sheets of fiber insulation-blanket having a three-ply laminate completely covering the five sheets. Steel banding secures the wrap to the duct providing 1-3 hours tested and rated protection. One layer cuts installation time and cost by 50% and provides zero clearance to combustible material. The single-layer wrap total thickness is about 1-2 inches.

    摘要: An inflatable or gas-filled insulation panel comprises an envelope having two outer sheets sealed together along edges of the sheets and at least one of the sheets has an outer reflective surface. The envelope encases a plurality of internal films that include a polymeric film having a plurality of reflective stripes disposed thereon and spaced apart on the films. Seals are formed along the gaps or areas between the reflective stripes on the films by application of heat and pressure, which causes the films to seal to each other and the outer sheets at spaced apart intervals. A channel is formed between the outer edges of the films and the outer sheets, and a valve, disposed at an end of the panel, is in fluid communication with the channel for the injection of a fluid, such as an inert gas or air, to inflate panel.

    摘要: A section of pipe is used in a pre-insulated piping system where the system is made up of lengths of insulated and jacketed pre-insulated piping. Each length of piping is made up of an inner carrier pipe having an interior surface and an exterior surface. An envelope of foamed insulation surrounds the inner pipe exterior surface and an outer protective jacket surrounds the envelope of foamed insulation. The length of piping has a joining end for joining to an adjacent length of piping, whereby the adjacent lengths of piping provide a continuous length of fluid conduit for conveying high temperature fluids. A heat dissipating element surrounds the inner carrier pipe for at least a portion of the length thereof. The heat dissipating element is itself insulated, whereby any water which penetrates the outer protective jacket contacts the heat dissipating element and is cooled below boiling before traveling any significant distance along the length of the section of piping.
