    Abstract: A sheet processing device includes: a first reservoir unit which reserves sheets; a sheet processing unit which implements predetermined processing for the sheets reserved in the first reservoir unit; a discharge unit which includes a stepping motor, and discharges the sheets from the first reservoir unit, the sheets being subjected to the predetermined processing by the sheet processing unit; an obtaining unit which obtains a value regarding weight of the sheets subjected to the predetermined processing; and a control unit which controls the discharge unit to lower a rotation speed of the stepping motor in a case where the value obtained by the obtaining unit is more than a predetermined value in comparison with a case where the value is less than the predetermined value.

    Abstract: In a sheet finisher which receives a sheet from an image forming apparatus, conducts a sheet finishing onto the sheet and feeds out the sheet, the sheet finisher includes: a stacking section which stores temporarily one or more sheets; and a sheet finishing section which conducts the sheet finishing onto the sheet stored in the stacking section. The stacking section having a first guide member which forms a stacking surface to guide the sheet, and a second guide member which faces the first guide member and is spaced apart from the first guide member by a predetermined distance, and is provided obliquely from a horizontal direction, and the stacking surface formed by at least a part of the first guide member, is formed to be curved in a direction perpendicular to a sheet conveyance direction.

    Abstract: A sheet loading device that includes a tray having a sheet loading surface, transports sheets one by one to the tray along a transport path, and loads the sheets one by one onto the sheet loading surface, comprising: a guide member for guiding a sheet to the tray along the transport path; a drive member; a restriction member; and a bias mechanism. Along a course of movement for pressing a loaded sheet against the sheet loading surface, the guide member engages with the restriction member, causes the restriction member to move to a position for restricting forming of a curl on the loaded sheet, and thereby prevents the transport path from being blocked by the curl. When the engagement between the guide member and the restriction member is released, the restriction member returns to an initial position by bias force applied by the bias mechanism.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for stacking items of media in a media container region. The apparatus includes a rotatable roller element arranged to rotate about a longitudinal axis to locate an incoming item of media at a deposit position with the container region.
