摘要: A seat height adjustment mechanism is provided, which includes a backward link element, a ratchet-type drive mechanism operable by an operating lever to cause vertical movement of the backward link element to adjust height of seat, and a locking mechanism. The backward link element is normally locked by the locking mechanism to reinforce the backward link element itself. When the operating lever is rotated during an idle stroke (S) inherently given in the ratchet-type drive mechanism, the locking mechanism is actuated to unlock the backward link element, thereby allowing the backward link element to be vertically displaceable through operation of the ratchet-type drive mechanism by further rotation of the operating lever.

The fluid actuator including first and second inlet/outlet conduits, and the controller selectively controlling and directing pressurized fluid selectively to either the first or second inlet/outlets of the actuator. The actuator further comprising actuator isolation valves associated with each of the first and second inlet/outlets of the actuator. Each actuator isolation valve allowing a flow of fluid from the actuator only when pressurized fluid is supplied to the actuator and other isolation valve in order to prevent movement of the actuator except when pressurized fluid is supplied to the actuator.

摘要: The motor vehicle seat of a motor vehicle comprises an underframe and a seat carrier that is height-adjustably connected to the underframe through rear oscillating cranks. A catch device is directly assigned to one of the two rear oscillating cranks. A non-rotatable tie bar joins the two rear oscillating cranks so that they are parallel when the vehicle seat is subjected to normal load. A retaining device has a sector gear firmly connected to the other one of the two rear oscillating cranks. An engaging piece which is movably disposed on the seat carrier or on the underframe, is provided with teeth devised for engagement with the sector gear and is disengaged from the sector gear as long as the vehicle seat is subjected to normal load. When the associated motor vehicle is subjected to a crash load an actuator is activated and causes the engaging piece to move into positive mesh with the sector gear. It is activated both for a positive and for a negative acceleration of the vehicle seat in the event of an accident. The teeth of the sector gear are configured in such a manner that their flanks, which are located on either side thereof, are oriented substantially radially relative to the orientation of said sector gear so that, during an accident situation, the sector gear is locked in the two directions of rotation upon engagement of the engaging piece.

摘要: An apparatus for locking a recliner of a front seat in an automobile comprises a supporting panel installed in a seat frame of a seat back for supporting the back of a passenger. A sliding bar is attached to the supporting panel and moves up and down following a guide bracket installed in both ends of the seat frame. A spring connects the sliding bar to the seat frame in order to enable the sliding bar to move elastically. An upper gear bar is downwardly attached on the lower end of the sliding bar and is provided with gear teeth on the front end thereof. A lower gear bar has gear teeth following the longitudinal direction thereof and connects both ends of the seat cushion frame. The lower gear bar engages with gear teeth of the upper gear bar selectively.

摘要: Continuous seat adjustment apparatus is used in conjunction with a seating device including a track assembly having an inner track and an outer track longitudinally movable on the inner track. The apparatus includes a pair of opposed jaws mounted on the outer track for pivotal movement between first and second orientations. Each of the jaws defines an opening with the inner track longitudinally extending therethrough. The jaws frictionally engage the inner track in the first orientation to substantially prevent longitudinal movement along the inner track and the jaws release the inner track in the second orientation to allow continuous longitudinal movement along the inner track. A spring device is affixed to the pair of opposed jaws to provide a bias on the jaws tending to move the jaws into the first orientation and an adjustment member is provided for moving the jaws against the spring bias from the first orientation to the second orientation.
