    摘要: A portable electronic device is provided comprising a processor, a memory, a display, and an application stored in the memory that, when executed by the processor, initiates a plurality of user agents that each indicate a different communication point. The portable electronic device also transmits a request for a content from each of the user agents to a content source, the requests being transmitted substantially concurrently. The portable electronic device also receives a plurality of contents, each content associated with one of the user agents and each content formatted differently than the remaining contents. The portable electronic also presents one of the contents on the display, wherein the portable electronic device promotes concurrent downloading of a content in multiple formats from the content source.

In one aspect, the method may include negotiating security association information and establishing a first communication tunnel by tunneling an inner IP address within a first outer IP address. The method may further include authenticating a request for establishing a second communication tunnel by identifying the negotiated security association information within the request. Additionally, the method may include establishing the second communication tunnel by tunneling the inner IP address within a second outer IP address.     摘要: The present invention relates to systems and methods for selectively pre-registering a data path for a mobile station. In an embodiment, a serving base station receives a mobile-originated handoff-request message from a mobile station, wherein the mobile-originated handoff-request message identifies one or more target base stations. The serving base station then responsively determines whether to instruct each respective target base station to pre-register a data path for the mobile station. The serving base station then sends a respective serving-to-target handoff-request message to each identified target base station, indicating whether the serving base station is instructing that target base station to pre-register a data path for the mobile station.

    摘要: A method for assigning a static mobile internet protocol address to a mobile node by an access node is provided. The method includes receiving a mobile registration request message, sending an access request message to an authorization node in response to the registration request, and receiving an access accept message containing a static mobile IP address from the authorization node. The method continues by sending an access registration request message containing the static mobile IP address to a mobile network internet node, which then assigns the static mobile IP address to the mobile node. A mobile access registration request message associated with the mobile registration request message is sent to the mobile network internet node at a time after the access registration request message has been sent. A mobile access registration reply message is received from the mobile network internet node, and a mobile reply registration message containing the static mobile IP address is sent to the mobile node.

A network agent may serve as a proxy between one or more client devices and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) infrastructure. The network agent may transmit a monitoring program to a client device for execution on the client device. The monitoring program may collect data regarding communication applications executing on the client device, and then transmit this data to the network agent. From the collected data, the network agent preferably selects translation logic with which to translate between messages compatible with the communication applications executing on the client device and standardized communication applications executing in the IMS infrastructure.
