Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for modulation and coding scheme selection and configuration. A mobile communication device includes a table component, a table selection component, and a communication component. The table component is configured to maintain two or more tables each having entries for a plurality of available modulation schemes. The two or more tables include a default table and a secondary table. The default table and the secondary table have a matching number of entries, and the secondary table includes an entry corresponding to a 256-QAM scheme. The table selection component is configured to select a selected table from one of the default table and the secondary table. The communication component is configured to receive and process a communication from a base station based on a modulation and coding scheme of the selected table.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for transmitting and receiving downlink shared channel (DL-SCH) transmissions encoded with convolutional codes are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) may be configured to communicatively couple to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB). The UE may be configured to transmit and receive machine-type communication (MTC). The eNB may determine that the UE is an MTC UE. The eNB may use a convolutional code typically used for encoding control channel transmission to encode the DL-SCH transmissions. The DL-SCH may be transmitted over a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or may be transmitted over a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or enhanced PDCCH (EPDCCH). Downlink control information (DCI) may be transmitted before the DL-SCH and may include information that can be used to decode the DL-SCH. Alternatively, the DL-SCH may be transmitted without first transmitting DCI.
Abstract:
A technology for a power management module that is operable to reduce power consumption in a communications network. A resource availability of one or more evolved node B (eNode Bs) in the communications network can be determine to receive data traffic of a plurality of user equipment (UEs) in communication with a serving eNode B. A power consumption rate of the communications network can be calculated when the serving eNode B is placed in a power saving mode. The serving eNode B can be switched to a power savings mode when the resource availability of the one or more eNode Bs enables the plurality of UEs to be handed over from the serving eNode B to selected eNode Bs of the one or more eNode Bs.
Abstract:
Embodiments of an enhanced node B (eNB) and methods for network-assisted interference cancellation with reduced signaling in a 3GPP LTE network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the number of transmission options is reduced by introducing a smaller signaling codebook. In some embodiments, higher-layer feedback from the UE to the eNodeB is established to inform the eNB about certain NA-ICS capabilities of the UE. In some embodiments, the number of signaling options is reduced by providing only certain a priori information. In some embodiments, correlations in the time and/or frequency domain are exploited for reducing the signaling message. In some embodiments, differential information is signaled in the time and/or frequency domain for reducing the signaling message.
