Abstract: Embodiments of this application relate to the field of wireless communication technologies, and provide a communication method and apparatus, to improve accuracy of a positioning result and reduce a waste of resources of a network device. In the method, the network device may receive a positioning information request from a positioning server. The positioning information request may be used to request the network device to configure uplink positioning reference signal configuration information for a terminal device. The network device may send the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and neighboring cell information to the positioning server. The neighboring cell information may include an identifier of one or more first neighboring cells and/or a measurement result of a measurement quantity corresponding to the one or more first neighboring cells. The first neighboring cell is a neighboring cell of the terminal device.

Abstract: This application provides a data delivery status indicating method and an apparatus, to effectively indicate a data delivery status, facilitate more accurate flow control, and save transmission resources. A communication method is provided. The method includes a first network node sends data to a terminal device. The first network node sends first indication information and second indication information to a second network node. The first indication information indicated information about a highest sequence number (SN) successfully delivered in sequence in the data. The second indication information indicates information about an SN that is delivered after the highest SN.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method, a communications apparatus, and a storage medium. The communication method includes: sending, by a new master network device, a request to an original master network device, to request context information of a terminal device on the original master network device and an original secondary network device; and receiving the context information of the terminal device on the original master network device and the original secondary network device from the original master network device. This application can effectively simplify implementation steps of resuming a multi-connectivity mode by the terminal device, reduce signaling procedures, and shorten a delay, thereby improving network transmission efficiency.

Abstract: A network entity is proposed for controlling the use, by a user equipment, of network slices of a communication network comprising a plurality of slice support areas. Each slice support area comprises at least one cell, and all cells of a given slice support area support the same network slices. A registration area for the registration of the user equipment with the communication network comprises at least one slice support area. The network entity is adapted to transmit, to the user equipment, slice support information for at least one slice support area of the communication network. The slice support information for a given slice support area indicates at least one network slice supported by the given slice support area and/or at least one network slice not supported by the given slice support area.

Abstract: A target cell determining method, communication apparatus, and storage medium are disclosed relating to the communication field. The method includes a first radio access network device receiving load prediction information of at least one first cell from a first network device, and determining a target cell in the at least one first cell based on the load prediction information of the at least one first cell. The first cell is a cell controlled by another radio access network device. The load prediction information includes at least one of a quantity of terminals accessing the first cell in a first time period, a setup success rate of a protocol data unit (PDU) session in the first cell in the first time period, or a handover success rate of the first cell in the first time period.
