Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relate to the communication field, so that an inter-node negotiation process between an MN and an SN can be completed when the MN uses a CU-DU architecture in DC communication. The method includes: A DU receives a first request message from a CU, where the first request message requests the DU to determine configuration information of an MN, and the configuration information of the MN is used to assist an SN in determining configuration information used for a terminal device; and the DU sends a first response message to the CU, where the first response message includes the configuration information of the MN. Embodiments of this application are applied to a DC scenario.

Abstract: Examples in this application disclose a communications system and apparatus. One example system includes a first access network device and a second access network device, and the first access network device sends, to the second access network device, indication information indicating a requirement of transmitting small data, receives, from the second access network device, a context of the terminal and an address of a tunnel used to transmit uplink data, indicates, based on the context, the terminal to enter a connected state, and sends uplink data of the terminal to the second access network device based on the address of the tunnel, then the second access network device sends the uplink data to a core network device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for processing channel access and an apparatus thereof. The method includes: receiving a fallback to physical random access channel (PRACH) indication sent by a base station; and initiating access on a common enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH). In the present invention, a fallback to PRACH indication is not executed, so as to prevent a user terminal from being in a DRX off state when a base station sends downlink data to the UE, thereby preventing the base station from delaying sending the downlink data to the UE.

Abstract: This application provides a wireless connection control method relating to a base station system including a centralized unit and a distributed unit, wherein the centralized unit communicates with the distributed unit, and the distributed unit communicates with a terminal through an air interface. The method includes: first receiving, by the distributed unit, a first message sent by the terminal, where the first message is used to request to establish an air interface control plane connection for the terminal; then sending, by the distributed unit, the first message to the centralized unit; and then receiving, by the distributed unit, a second message sent by the centralized unit, where the second message is used to instruct to establish the air interface control plane connection between the terminal and the distributed unit. The method may implement wireless connection control in a 5G system when functions of a base station are separated.

Abstract: The present invention relates to wireless communications technologies, and in particular, to a terminal, a network device, and a data transmission method in a random access process, so as to resolve a current problem that a transmission delay is relatively long when a terminal transmits a relatively large data packet in a random access process. In the terminal a processing module, is configured to determine that the terminal transmits data of multiple TTIs to a base station in a current random access process; and a transceiver module is configured to send first indication information to the base station, where the first indication information is used to indicate that the terminal transmits the data of the multiple TTIs in the current random access process. In this way, the terminal can transmit data of multiple TTIs in one random access process.
