Abstract: Access Point (AP) placement using Fine Time Measurement (FTM) may be provided. First, a plurality of Time-of-Flight (ToF) values between a first service end point and a second service end point may be determined. Each one of the plurality of ToF values may be derived from packets transmitted via different beamforming vector patterns at the first service end point and the second service end point. Then a minimum ToF value of the plurality of ToF values may be determined. Next, a distance between the first service end point and the second service end point may be determined based on the minimum ToF value.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for verifying Access Points (APs) using crowd sourcing. In one example, a STA establishes a first non-verified connection, based on security material, with a source AP in a wireless infrastructure. A target AP in a wireless infrastructure obtains an indication that the STA is attempting to establish a second non-verified connection with the target AP. In response, the target AP establishes the second non-verified connection based on the security material.

Abstract: The present technology allows coordination of channels of private wireless networks utilizing shared licensed and unlicensed spectrum. Wireless network operators in an enterprise location register to participate in a consortium and register licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum resources to be shared with other members of the consortium. The wireless network operators request an allocation of spectrum resources from the consortium. The consortium generates a radio resource management (“RRM”) plan for shared use of the licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum resources. The consortium combines the allocated licensed, shared, and unlicensed spectrum from each of the wireless network operators to meet the target RRM plan. The consortium monitors spectrum utilization to dynamically update the RRM. The consortium monitors spectrum utilization in real time to determine how closely the RRM plan matches the resources allocated to each wireless network operator.

Abstract: A method performed by a system which manages station transition from a Wi-Fi access point includes sending, based on the station roaming to an edge-of-domain access point, a request to neighboring access points to the edge-of-domain access point for neighbor reports. The method includes receiving a cellular signal value from the station, comparing a first signal grade associated with the edge-of-domain access point to a second signal grade associated with the cellular signal value to yield a comparison and generating a link usability rating associated with a link between the station and the edge-of-domain access point. Based at least in part on the comparison and the link usability rating, the method includes transmitting a message to the station suggesting that the station roam from the edge-of-domain access point to a cellular network. An edge of the domain can also be dynamic and vary based on station characteristics.

Abstract: A method includes linking, at an access node, a first media control access (MAC) address of a device to an identifier of the device to establish a communication session between the access node and the device and during the communication session, receiving, at the access node, an indication of a change of the first MAC address to a second MAC address. The method also includes linking, at the access node, the second MAC address to the first MAC address and the identifier and receiving, at the access node, a communication from the device using the second MAC address while maintaining the communication session.

Abstract: Adaptive guard interval calibration may be provided. A computing device may receive a first plurality of delay spread values. Each of the first plurality of delay spread values may respectively comprise an amount of time between when each of a respective first plurality Access Points (APs) receives a first tuning symbol from a first calibrating AP and when each of the respective first plurality APs receives a final multipath reflection of the first tuning symbol. Next, a first Guard Interval (GI) may be determined based on the first plurality of delay spread values. The first calibrating AP may then be provisioned with the first GI.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for selecting network protocols using heatmaps. For instance, a system may receive radio frequency information from one or more sources located within an environment. The system may then generate heatmaps using the radio frequency information, where the heatmaps represent characteristics associated with different network protocols. The characteristics may include signal strengths, throughputs, data packet drop rates, data packet retry rates, and/or the like for various locations within the environment. A user device may then receive the heatmaps from the system. Using a location of the user device and the heatmaps, the user device may determine to communicate using a network protocol from the different network protocols. The user device may then establish a connection using the network protocol.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method comprises: determining, by a constrained network device in a low power and lossy network (LLN), a self-estimated density value of neighboring LLN devices based on wirelessly receiving an identified number of beacon message transmissions within an identified time interval from neighboring transmitting LLN devices in the LLN; setting, by the constrained network device, a first wireless transmit power value based on the self-estimated density value; and transmitting a beacon message at the first wireless transmit power value, the beacon message specifying the self-estimated density value, a corresponding trust metric for the self-estimated density value, and the first wireless transmit power value used by the constrained network device for transmitting the beacon message.

In one example, a method may include obtaining, by a home network, a request to authorize access of a roaming subscriber for a visited network; determining whether the request includes visited network charging information and visited network metric information; based on determining that the request includes the visited network charging information and the visited network metric information, determining whether one or more visited network metrics satisfy one or more threshold metrics for the roaming subscriber; and based on determining that the one or more visited network metrics satisfy the one or more threshold metrics for the roaming subscriber, authorizing access of the roaming subscriber for the visited network.

Abstract: A server that includes a graphics processing unit (GPU) may receive, from a first application that is remote from the server, a first request to reserve a first number of cores of the GPU for a first amount of time. The server may also receive, from a second application that is also remote from the server, a second request to reserve a second number of cores of the GPU for a second amount of time that at least partly overlaps the first amount of time. The server may determine that the first request is associated with a higher priority than the second request and, in response, may reserve the first number of cores for the first amount of time for the first application. The server may send, to the first application, an indication that the first number of cores have been reserved as requested by the first application.
