摘要： A display that contains a column spacer arrangement which takes advantage of a protrusion on a TFT substrate is provided. One set of column spacers is disposed on top of the protrusion, while a second set of column spacers of substantially the same height as the first set of column spacers are disposed throughout the display. In this way, the display is adequately protected against deformation from external forces while at the same maintaining enough room to allow for a liquid crystal to spread out during the manufacturing process.

A passivation layer is arranged on the drain electrode, and it has a contact hole that partially exposes the extended portion of the drain electrode without exposing a step in the extended portion caused by the storage electrode or storage electrode line. A pixel electrode is arranged on the passivation layer and is electrically connected with the extended portion of the drain electrode through the contact hole.

The storage electrode line includes a first portion extending along the first direction and a second portion extending along the second direction in the non-display region. A width, measured along the second direction, of the first portion is less than a width, measured along the first direction, of the second portion.

摘要： There is provided an angle regulating apparatus enabling a user to freely set a rotational angle and direction of a display device installed on a wall or ceiling. The angle regulating apparatus of a display device includes: a support plate coupled to a rear side of the display device; a swivel penetrating a central portion of the support plate and moving together with the support plate, the swivel being curved by a predetermined radius of curvature; a pressure plate installed in a recessed portion of the swivel, for pressurizing the swivel; a swivel holder having a front side recessed by the same radius of curvature as that of the swivel, such that the swivel is installed in the recessed portion; an attachment plate installed in a rear side of the swivel holder, for fixing the display device to a wall or ceiling; a shaft penetrating a front side of the pressure plate from a rear side of the attachment plate; and a nut inserted into an outer periphery of the shaft, for pressurizing the pressure plate. The angle regulating apparatus has an effect that it can be conveniently adjusted to an angle suitable for a user's viewing position.

The liquid crystal display includes a panel unit having a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of pixels, each pixel being coupled to a gate line and a data line and having a plurality of sub-pixels, a data-drive unit providing data signals to the data lines, and a gate-drive unit providing gate signals to the gate lines in a first order or in a second order. When the gate-drive unit provides the gate signals in the first order, the sub-pixels of a respective pixel are charged with different pixel voltages, and when the gate-drive unit provides the gate signals in the second order, the sub-pixels of the respective pixel are charged with substantially the same pixel voltage.

摘要： A gate drive circuit of a display device includes a plurality of stages, each stage being coupled to at least one other stage. A current stage among the stages includes a gate section, a carry section, a buffer section, and a reset section. The gate section generates a current gate signal and the carry section generates a current carry signal. The buffer section receives a previous carry signal from a previous stage, and then turns on the gate section and the carry section. The reset section receives a next carry signal from next stages, and then turns off the gate section and the carry section. As the current stage is reset in response to the next carry signal, the function of the gate drive circuit is increased.
