Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for rate-matching data on a per transmission reception point (TRP) basis for single downlink control information (DCI) multi-TRP transmissions. Transmitters operating according to the present disclosure use a per TRP rate matching technique in which the rate-matching order is to first rate-match across spatial layers transmitted by a TRP, then across frequency, then across time, and then to another TRP, where remaining data is rate-matched across the spatial layers of that other TRP, then across frequency, and then across time. The described per TRP rate-matching technique causes code blocks of a transport block to be transmitted by one TRP, instead of each code block being transmitted by a group of TRPs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may allocate resources for communication with a user equipment (UE). The resources may include one or more subframes, and each subframe may include one or more shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs). Each sTTI may be assigned a transmission direction according to a time division duplex (TDD) pattern. Based on traffic needs and/or interference from other UEs and/or base stations, the base station may determine to modify the TDD pattern used for communication. Accordingly, a base station may transmit an indicator in a control message or control region of a TTI or sTTI, to indicate to users that a transmission direction of an sTTI in the TDD pattern is being changed. Subsequently, a user may communicate with the base station according to the reconfigured TDD pattern.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications in a shared spectrum are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, via an autonomous uplink (AUL) communication, one or more transport blocks to a base station. Each transport block may include a plurality of code block groups (CBGs). The base station may provide CBG-level feedback to the UE based at least in part on the AUL communication. For example, a downlink feedback indication (DFI) bit sequence may be partitioned to include a first partition comprising AUL hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback information and a second partition comprising contention window (CW) update information (e.g., for a subsequent AUL clear channel assessment). In some cases, the number of bits in the first partition may be based on a number of AUL HARQ processes of the UE and an AUL HARQ process granularity.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may transmit to a user equipment (UE) over a control channel (e.g., a downlink control channel) and the UE may monitor for the control channel in a control resource set (COREST). The control channel and the CORESET may be associated with a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. The base station and the UE may identify an association between the resources of the CORESET and the set of TCI states based on a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) mapping between the resources of the CORESET and the set of TCI states. In some examples, the association may be a fixed rule at the UE. In other examples, the base station may signal the association to the UE via control signaling. The UE may decode the control channel based on the FDM mapping.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A control resource set (CORESET) may be configured to support multiple transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state control channels. Space division multiplexing (SDM) may be implemented to enable multi-TCI states by using multiple ports and layers. A certain layer and demodulation reference signal (DMRS) port may be associated with a certain TCI state. For orthogonal ports, resources elements (REs) may be assigned such that a first set of REs are assigned to the first DMRS port and a second set of REs are assigned to the second port. The multiple DMRS ports may be code division multiplexed (CDM'd) within an RE such that multiple DMRS ports may be associated with the same RE. For non-orthogonal ports, the same RE may be used for multiple TCI states, where scrambling sequences may be applied to DMRSs associated with the TCI states.

Abstract: Techniques are described for signaling a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) switching event and an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) request in a paired spectrum environment. The base station may transmit uplink scheduling downlink control information (DCI) to a user equipment (UE) that includes the A-CSI request and an identifier for the downlink BWP of the downlink BWP switching event. After receiving the A-CSI request and the downlink BWP, the UE may perform one or more CSI measurements using the downlink BWP. The UE may use physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources associated with the uplink scheduling DCI to transmit the CSI report to the base station. Using these techniques, the base station may be configured to indicate that a downlink BWP switching event is to occur and allocate PUSCH resources to the UE to be used to transmit the CSI report associated with the downlink BWP switching event.

A helper UE may determine a sidelink channel correlation with at least one other UE, report to a base station channel diversity information, UE state information, UE traffic pattern information, sidelink channel measurements, and the determined sidelink channel correlation; and receive an indication from the gNB if the UE is a member of a helper UE group. A base station may transmit a control message to at least one UE; receive a report comprising sidelink channel correlation information, sidelink channel diversity information, and UE state information, from each of the at least one UE, in response to transmitting the control message; and determine a helper UE group based on the received report.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods and apparatus of wireless communication to support frequency division multiplexing (FDM) of multiple waveforms. The methods and apparatus schedule FDM symbols where the scheduling of the FDM symbols is selectively based on one or more waveform parameters during a time interval when the FDM symbols are transmitted. The FDM symbols are then transmitted over the time interval. Further aspects also include the reception of the FDM symbols in a receiver where the waveform parameters are applied for decoding based on application of the waveform parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink (UL) messages in unlicensed spectrum with a reduced UL timing delay. The UL timing delay may be reduced by using a shortened transmission time interval (TTI) (e.g., a TTI that is reduced in duration relative to other TTIs in the system or in a legacy system) or by reducing the number of TTIs between a grant and the corresponding UL message. The reduced UL timing delay may decrease the likelihood that the UE will wait for a subsequent transmit opportunity (TxOp) to transmit the UL message. In some cases, the reduced UL timing delay corresponds to a reduced hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processing delay. In some cases, a time difference (e.g., measured in TTIs) between a measurement reference TTI a corresponding channel state information (CSI) report may also be reduced.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a configuration for a control resource set (CORESET) of a shared radio frequency spectrum carrier. The UE may identify a bitmap included in the configuration. Each bit in the bitmap may be associated with a respective control resource block group. The UE may identify, based at least in part on a value for each bit in the bitmap, one or more control resource block groups that are included in the CORESET. The UE may monitor for downlink communications in the one or more control resource block groups. Numerous other aspects are provided.
