Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication at a wireless device of a wireless wearable device. In one aspect, the wireless device may transmit a first report based on one of a location of the wireless wearable device, a time period, or reception of a user-controlled indication to transmit the first report. The wireless device may also receive, based on the transmitted first report, a configuration to switch from a first mode to a second mode. In some aspects, the configuration can include at least one parameter associated with a power savings at the wireless wearable device while in the second mode. Additionally, the wireless device can operate based on the at least one parameter while in the second mode.

Abstract: Aspects relate to supporting power control for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions on an uplink secondary component carrier (SCC) of a wireless communication system. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives a power control configuration from a base station for use by the UE for a PUCCH transmission on a selected uplink SCC. The UE then transmits, based at least in part on the power control configuration, the PUCCH to the base station on the selected uplink SCC. Closed-loop and open-loop power control examples are provided. In some aspects, common or shared power control configurations are provided by the base station for use with each component carrier of a PUCCH group. In other aspects, carrier-specific power control configurations are provided by the base station.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for providing improved power efficiency during DRX wake-up are disclosed. An example method of wireless communication at a UE includes receiving a WUS from a base station while performing a DRX cycle, the WUS indicating data for transmission to the UE. The example method also includes at least one receiving a downlink reference signal or transmitting an uplink reference signal based on the WUS and prior to reception of the data, the uplink reference signal transmitted or the downlink reference signal received during an on-duration of the DRX cycle and in response to receiving the WUS. The example method also includes sending a CSI report to the base station based on the WUS and prior to the receiving of the data. The example method also includes receiving the data following the respective receiving or transmitting of the downlink reference signal or uplink reference signal.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for determining a transport block (TB) configuration and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (ACK)/negative acknowledgment (NACK) configuration for full duplex (FD) UE(s) are described. One technique involves receiving channel state information (CSI) report(s) from a UE operating in FD mode. At least one of a TB configuration or feedback type for a communication slot is determined based on the CSI report(s). The communication slot can include half duplex (HD) symbol(s) and FD symbol(s). An indication of at least one of the TB configuration or the feedback type is signaled to the UE. Another technique involves receiving, from a base station (BS), downlink data transmission(s) across a slot(s). A type of duplexing mode associated with each of the slot(s) is determined. The downlink data transmission(s) are acknowledged, based at least in part on the type of duplexing mode associated with each of the slot(s).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be capable of operating according to a first transmission efficiency operating mode and a second transmission efficiency operating mode that is less power efficient than the first transmission efficiency operating mode. The first transmission efficiency operating mode may be associated with a first undesired emission level that is greater than a second undesired emission level associated with the second transmission efficiency operating mode. The UE may select to operate in one of the two transmission efficiency operating modes based on one or more communication parameters (e.g., indicated by control signaling received from a base station). For example, the UE may select to operate in the first transmission efficiency operating mode based on determining that one or more of the communication parameters satisfies at least one parameter criterion for operating in the first transmission efficiency operating mode.

A first wireless communications device may receive, from a second wireless communications device, a signal that is indicative of a phase-change pattern applied to communications between the first wireless communications device and the second wireless communication device by a reconfigurable intelligent surface reflecting the communications. The first device may determine the phase-change pattern from the signal. The first device may transmit a message to the second wireless communications device, wherein at least one of a content or a transmission property of the message is based at least in part on the phase-change pattern.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) on a first set of beams and receives a second CSI-RS on a second set of beams. The apparatus determines a channel quality indicator (CQI), a rank indicator (RI), and a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) based on the first CSI-RS. The apparatus reports the CQI and RI using an uplink control channel and indicates the PMI using a precoded SRS transmission. The precoded SRS transmission may be precoded based on a dissimilarity between the first CSI-RS and the second CSI-RS. The first CSI-RS may include a defined precoder, and the second CSI-RS may include a precoder based on an uplink channel estimate of a non-precoded SRS from the UE.

The tri-state feedback can be associated with three potential states. The three potential states can indicate whether (i) decoding of a control channel was unsuccessful, (ii) decoding of the control channel was successful and decoding of a data channel was unsuccessful, or (iii) decoding of the control channel and the data channel was successful.

Abstract: Certain aspects relate to techniques for z-axis rotation estimation for compensating signaling transmitted between two or more nodes over a wireless channel where an antenna array of at least one of the nodes is misaligned about the z-axis relative to another node. For example, a transmitting node may transmit pilot signals defined by phase shifts to provide a receiving node with a basis for estimating the angle of rotation by which the antenna arrays are misaligned. The transmitting node may then take remedial action to address the misalignment based on the estimation.
