Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information indicating a capability of the UE to support a rate splitting multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communication. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the capability information, configuration information associated with the rate splitting MIMO communication. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the configuration information, at least one of a downlink control information (DCI) format, a DCI size, one or more DCI fields, or one or more DCI field sizes associated with a DCI communication associated with the rate splitting MIMO communication. The UE may monitor the DCI communication and decoding the rate splitting MIMO communication based at least in part on the configuration information and the DCI communication. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may transmit, to a secondary user equipment (UE), a first grant to conditionally transmit one or more data messages over a first set of resources upon completion of a detection procedure. The detection procedure may include monitoring a second set of resources for over-the-air (OTA) signals transmitted by a primary UE pursuant to a second grant, where the first set of resources at least partially overlaps the second set of resources. The UE may monitor for the OTA signals from the primary UE, determine that one or more conditions for transmission of the one or more data messages have been satisfied, and transmit the one or more data messages over the first set of resources.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for detecting a potential collision between a scheduled uplink transmission and a synchronization signal block (SSB) and transmitting the scheduled uplink transmission. For example, in cases of inter-cell multi-transmission and reception points (multi-TRP), a user equipment (UE) may not be capable of simultaneously transmitting and receiving on the multiple serving cells. A first serving cell may indicate to the UE of SSB indices that are actually transmitted for a second serving cell. If there is a slot collision between one of the SSB to be transmitted and a scheduled uplink transmission, the UE may not be able to handle such collision. The present disclosure provides techniques for detecting a potential collision between a scheduled uplink transmission and one of the SSBs and transmitting the scheduled uplink transmission when one or more conditions are met.
