    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to a user equipment (UE) receiving, from a network entity while in a connected mode with the network entity, first control signaling indicating a coordination configuration. The coordination configuration indicates a subset of paging cycles from a set of paging cycles, the subset of paging cycles associated with an indication of a tracking reference signal (TRS) availability or an indication of a system information (SI) change message availability. The UE receives from the network entity via a paging cycle of the subset of paging cycles in accordance with the coordination configuration, second control signaling indicating an availability of a TRS in a TRS resource or an availability of an SI change message in the paging cycle. The UE receives from the network entity, the TRS or the SI change message based on the second control signaling.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to establishing a signaling connection between a radio access network (RAN) node and a first scheduling entity. The RAN node may communicate in a dual connectivity (DC) mode of operation with the first scheduling entity (e.g., a secondary gNB) using a first radio access technology (RAT) and with a second scheduling entity (e.g., a master eNB) using a second RAT. The RAN node and the first scheduling entity may support sending information for a first signaling connection between the RAN node and the first scheduling entity over a second signaling connection through the second scheduling entity (e.g., when the second signaling connection is more reliable than the first signaling connection). To establish the second signaling connection, the RAN node and the first scheduling entity may signal support for the second signaling connection and exchange Internet Protocol information for the second signaling connection.

    Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosure, a UE may be configured to receive, from a base station, information indicating a reference point associated with at least one L1 measurement; determine a reporting value of the at least one L1 measurement based on a difference between the reference point and a measured value of the at least one L1 measurement; and transmit information indicating the reporting value to the base station. In another aspect, a RAN node can indicate to a UE that a reduced measurement report resolution is to be used for beam measurements in a measurement report. The reduced measurement report resolution is less than a first measurement report resolution previously indicated to be used for the beam measurements. Lower resolution can be obtained by using fewer bits to indicate one or more of the beam measurements. The payload for a measurement report such as a L-SINR or L-RSP L1 measurement report is thereby reduced when the UE transmits the measurement report to the RAN node.

A first user equipment (UE) sense sidelink transmissions to determine a set of resources that may be reserved by one or more other UEs. The set of resources may include a first subset of resources associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second subset of resources associated with a second, different RAT. The first UE may transmit a message to a second UE indicating resource information for transmissions by the second UE, and the resource information may indicate that the first subset of resources is associated with the first RAT and that the second subset of resources is associated with the second RAT. Additionally, or alternatively, the first UE may transmit an indication of collisions between resources reserved for transmissions associated with the first RAT and resources reserved for transmissions associated with the second RAT.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to millimeter wave (mmWave) device discovery for relay communication using pseudo-omnidirectional beams. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a synchronization signal over each pseudo-omnidirectional beam to enable a second UE to discover a presence of the second UE within a range of the first UE. Upon the occurrence of an external event, a base station may either trigger a beam training procedure with the second UE to establish a relay link between the first and second UEs or broadcast a message to all UEs requesting a relay link be established with the first UE. The first and second UEs may then select a directional beam pair link (BPL) for the relay link and establish the relay link to enable information to be relayed between the base station and the first UE via the relay link.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network controlled repeater may transmit a capability indication of the wireless device to a network entity. The capability indication of the wireless device may indicate a latency associated with processing communications. The network entity may transmit an indication of multiple monitoring occasions during a discontinuous reception mode of the wireless device, and a set of parameters associated with the multiple monitoring occasions. Each monitoring occasion of the multiple monitoring occasions may be associated with at least one of a different periodicity, length, or offset. The wireless device may periodically monitor for the communications in accordance with the multiple monitoring occasions.
