    摘要: This invention secures the breakdown voltage between stem pins or the like for high voltage service in a cathode ray tube. This insulator is formed of a clay-like silicone compound having a tip-throughhole and pin-throughholes or a stem base with the electric insulator mounted to the stem base. An inter-stem electric insulation device is structured by mounting either one of the electric insulator or the stem base with the electric insulator to the stem of a cathode ray tube and by pressing to fix together. This structure does not allow bubble generation caused by the electric insulator, and makes the handling easy, and furthermore, allows an automatic mounting of the electric insulator to a stem.

    摘要: A self-extinguishing cable releasing low quantities of toxic and corrosive smokes and gases for optical or electrical applications, comprises a self-extinguishing coating (3), releasing low quantities of toxic and corrosive fumes and gases, comprising:a) a polymer base including from 30 to 60 parts of a thermoplastic polyester and from 40 to 70 parts of a silicone-polyimide polymer;b) at least 0.5 parts of an anti-hydrolysis agent of the thermoplastic polyester and at least 0.25 parts of a selected antioxidant agent per each 100 parts by weight of the polymer base.Advantageously, the antioxidant agent is so selected that the coating (3) has a value of percent elongation at break not lower than 80% of the starting value and in any case not lower than 250%, after a 10-day aging at 175.degree. C. in a hot air oven.

    摘要: A cylindrical radially shrinkable sleeve (10) for enclosing a connection or an end termination of an electrical cable having an insulation surrounded by a shielding layer. The sleeve (10) has an outer shielding layer (16) of semi-conductive material and at least an insulation layer (14) on the inner side of the shielding layer (16). The cylindrical layers are made of flexible material adapted to be retained in a radially expanded state by a mechanical support. The radially innermost layer is of a homogeneous material having a relative dielectric constant which is larger than that of the insulation of the cable. The material is a matrix of dielectric plastic material containing microspheres which are electrically conductive either totally or only at the outer surface thereof, and which have a diameter between 10 and 500 .mu.m. The microspheres are uniformly mixed into the matrix material, with the compound having a dielectric constant equal to or larger that 3 in a dielectric strength of at least 5 kV/mm.
