    摘要: The invention relates to viscous, aluminium-containing liquids suitable forroducing gel threads, filaments or fibres, a process for the production thereof and the use thereof for the production of alumina-containing, inorganic fibres. The liquids according to the invention comprise one or more partly or completely hydrolytically condensable compounds of aluminium and optionally further elements and/or precondensates derived from said compounds. The hydrolytically condensed Al-compounds are derived from compounds of formula (I) Al(OR*).sub.3 (I) in which the radicals R* stand for propyl or butyl in that the Al(OR*).sub.3 is reacted with an alcohol of formulas (II) or (III): ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 stands for an alkyl radical, R.sup.2 for an alkylene radical and X is O, S or NR.sup.3, with R.sup.3 being hydrogen or alkyl. The resulting Al-compounds are complexed with a low molecular weight carboxylic acid and hydrolytically condensed.

    摘要: The compositions of this invention comprise uncrosslinked reaction mixtures comprising (1) at least one organic monomer, oligomer or polymer comprising a multiplicity of organic, electrophilic substituents, and (2) at least one metal-containing polymer comprising a metal-nitrogen polymer.Preferred compositions of this invention comprise reaction mixtures comprising (1) at least one organic monomer, oligomer or polymer comprising a multiplicity of organic, electrophilic substituents, and (2) at least one of: silicon-nitrogen polymers, aluminum-nitrogen polymers and boron-nitrogen and polymer combinations thereof comprising a multiplicity of sequentially bonded repeat units the compositions comprising the reaction products of the reaction mixtures, and the compositions obtained by crosslinking the reaction products of the reaction mixtures. The crosslinking may be effected through at least one of thermal-based, radiation-based free radical-based or ionic-based crosslinking mechanisms. Furthermore, the reaction mixtures, the composition comprising the reaction products and the crosslinked composition may further comprise at least one filler or reinforcement. The composition may be molded or shaped by various techniques into numerous useful articles. Furthermore, the compositions may be applied as coatings by various techniques onto numerous articles to enhance the articles usefulness.

    摘要: The invention is a composition of an inorganic-organic polymer composite and a method of making it. The inorganic portion of the fundamental polymer composite polymer repeat is a speciated inorganic heterocyclic compound, and the organic portion of the polymer repeat is a cyclic organic radical anion compound having at least two charged sites. The composition of the present invention is made by combining a cyclic organic radical anion compound with a speciated inorganic heterocyclic compound by a nucleophilic substitution thereby forming a polymer of an inorganic-organic composite. The cyclic organic radical anion compound is preferably generated electrochemically. The nucleophilic substitution is alternately carried out chemically or electrochemically. A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes performing the nucleophilic substitution at the cathode of an electrochemical cell.

    摘要: The invention is a method for the preparation of organic solvent-soluble polyheterosiloxanes containing MO.sub.2 (M=Ti or Zr) and SiO.sub.2 units.
