摘要： A footwear construction including an upper secured to a platform defining an aperture, a cushion at least partially in the aperture, a California construction joined with the upper that wraps the platform, and an outsole. The California construction can terminate short of the heel, and the upper can join the platform via another construction, for example, by adhering the upper to the platform, in the heel. The cushion insert can define one or more recesses, such as concave contours in which the toe(s) of a wearer can rest to reduce the profile of the toe(s) above the cushion insert. A method for making the footwear is provided, including: joining an upper with a platform defining an aperture on a last; placing a cushioned insert within the aperture; wrapping a California flange around a portion of the platform; and joining an outsole with the platform, the cushioned insert and/or the upper.

摘要： A universal footwear includes removable cleats employable during indoor and outdoor activities such as sports, for example. The footwear includes a sole having toe, arch and heel portions respectively. Such a toe portion is provided with a plurality of receptacles, the arch portion includes a gel pack, and the heel has a bottom surface provided with a plurality of receptacles spaced thereabout. The apparatus further includes a body secured to the sole and a plurality of traversing straps extending thereacross for assisting to maintain an operator's foot at a stable position. A plurality of cleats are provided and are removably engageable with said plurality of receptacles, as desired by a user. One pair of shoes can be used for more than one sport thereby allowing a user to attach cleats to the shoe for any sport or remove all cleats from the shoe for casual wear.

摘要： The invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing a shoe having an outsole having a top surface and a lip, where the lip extends around a portion of a periphery of the outsole and is above the top surface. The lip also has an inner surface facing inwardly and an outer surface facing outwardly. An upper is in contact with and secured to the outer surface of the lip. The inner surface of the lip is thereafter secured to the top surface for completing the shoe's attachment of the upper to the outsole.

摘要： A golf cleat having a base member with an array of peripheral projections and a central projection is provided. The golf cleat includes reinforcement ribs spanning from the central projection to each of the peripheral projections, respectively. The golf cleat is manufactured of a durable yet flexible material so that the projections may compress and move relative to one another to accommodate a wide range of terrain surfaces, including irregularly shaped terrain surfaces. The reinforcement rib members ensure that each peripheral projection springs back to its original position after flexing to accommodate a particular terrain surface and does not tear away over time.

摘要： An elasticized sock (22) is formed from a cowling of elastomer material which is so limp in the normally relaxed state thereof as to be essentially formless; and the sock is stretched about the outer periphery (18) of a movable boss, i.e., the welt of a shoe sole (2), the flange of a brake pedal, or the tire of a car wheel, and tightly engaged with the boss so as to interpose a portion of the sock between the boss and an interactive surface there opposite. Part of the elasticity with which the sock is stretchable about the boss, arises from the fact that the portion of the sock interposed between the boss and the interactive surface, comprises a network of elongated strands of elastomer material which lends elasticity to the portion. However, the portion also has an exoskeleton of elongated resiliently flexible coils of hard durable traction material loosely helically wound about strands of the network to carapace the network against abrasive action of the footprint of engagement between the boss and the interactive surface, and form a gallery of elongated protective cavities for the strands, i.e., the bores of the coils, within which the network can flex resiliently during the step of stretching the sock about the boss, and during any subsequent movement of the sock in relation to the boss and the interactive surface at the footprint of engagement therebetween.
