摘要: A heating apparatus can have a sealed combustion chamber, a burner, and various air channels to direct air into the sealed combustion chamber and to provide heated air to the desired area or environment such as an interior room. A channel can direct a flow of air along a face of the sealed combustion chamber to cool the face. The channel can be within or outside of the sealed combustion chamber. Alternatively, or in addition, the heating apparatus can be capable of operating as a direct vent device or as a vent free device.

摘要: A damper system comprises a damper blade having open and closed states. The damper blade is movable in a linear direction only between the open and closed states. The damper blade may fully overlap with a flue passage in the closed state, and the damper blade may lack any overlap with the flue passage in the open state. A portion of the damper blade may directly contact a switch activation arm in the open state, wherein the switch activation arm confirms the open state of the damper blade.

摘要: A pulverized coal-fired boiler efficiently supplies air to a central part of a furnace and the neighborhood of a furnace wall, thereby promoting mixture with combustion gas, and reducing both NOx and CO. The main after air ports are structured so as to jet air having a large momentum for enabling arrival at the central part of the furnace, and the sub-after air ports are structured so as to jet air having a small momentum to the neighborhood of the wall face of the furnace, and a sectional center of each of the sub-after air ports is within a range from 1 to 5 times of a caliber of the main after air ports from a sectional center of each of the main after air ports.

摘要: A gasifier for disposing of biomass and other waste materials through a gasification and combustion process. The gasifier includes a primary chamber for receiving and holding biomass or a selected waste product. A heat transfer chamber is disposed adjacent the primary chamber. A burner is associated with the gasifier for generating heat and heating the gasifier during various phases or portions of the gasification and combustion process. In the gasification process, the heat transfer chamber is heated and the heat is transferred to the primary chamber where the biomass is heated. During the gasification process, biomass material is volatized generating fumes and gases that later react and release heat through exothermic reactions. Once the gasification process has been concluded, the process enters a combustion phase where the biomass is actually burned. During the gasification-combustion phases, the amount of heat supplied by the burner will vary. Generally the amount of energy or heat supplied by the burner will decrease throughout the process because the biomass itself will supply substantial amounts of heat through exothermic reactions.
