    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support vehicle alerting, such as in autonomous driving networks. Vehicle alerting may provide messages alerting other vehicles and/or network components to instances of autonomous driving disengagement. A vehicle operating according to an autonomous vehicle (AV) mode may transmit an over-the-air message to one or more other devices, such as nodes of an autonomous driving network, to alert the one or more devices to the vehicle disengaging the AV mode. A device receiving an autonomous disengagement message may alter one or more autonomous operation aspects in response to the over-the-air message. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, one or more user equipments (UEs) may implement distance-limited sidelink-based ranging techniques. An initiating UE may transmit one or more positioning reference signal (PRS) request messages to one or more target UEs via a sidelink channel. In some cases, the initiating UE may receive one or more response messages from at least one target UE that is located within a threshold distance from the initiating UE. In some examples, based on receiving the one or more response messages, the initiating UE may transmit PRSs to each target UE that transmitted a response message.

    Abstract: A user device and transportation entity, such as a transport vehicle or transport server, perform information exchanges for a transportation service using Device-to-Device (D2D) communications, such as dedicated short-range communication (DSRC), a cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X), or a 5G New Radio (NR). The information exchanges, for example, are related to, e.g., logistics and delivery of transportation services. For example, the user device may transmit a transportation request message that includes information elements, such as an identifier, a type of transport device requested, a number of users, requested destination, etc. The transportation entity may transmit a transportation response message accepting or rejecting the request. Additional messages, such as a status request and status of the transportation, as well as messages related to completing the transportation service may be exchanged.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for use in wireless communication devices to provide a capability for vehicles to actively perform traffic planning with regard to other vehicles, for example, within a region comprising an intersection and possibly wherein the intersection is not associated with a device or service for such or similar purposes. Such underlying techniques may reduce traffic congestion in certain instances by allowing two or more vehicles to negotiate or otherwise coordinate safe traversal within a region comprising an intersection. Moreover, the traffic planning techniques may be of use for a variety and/or mixture of different types of vehicles, paths, intersections, etc.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE), such as a pedestrian UE, may perform a discovery procedure with a second UE in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) wireless communications environment that includes multiple other UEs in addition to the first UE and the second UE. The second UE may, for example, be a roadside UE configured to aggregate V2X messages for the first UE. The first UE may determine, based on performing the discovery procedure, a schedule for the first UE to use to receive bundled V2X messages from the second UE. The first UE may receive, from the second UE based on the determined schedule, a message indicating bundled information from multiple V2X messages received at the second UE from the multiple UEs.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for a non-geosynchronous orbit (NGSO) satellite to comply with equivalent power flux density (EPFD) limits are disclosed. The example implementations may allow a constellation of NGSO satellites to comply with EPFD limits without disabling beams transmitted from the NGSO satellites. The power level of one or more beams to be transmitted from the NGSO satellites may be dynamically adjusted according to a beam power back-off schedule. In some aspects, the beam power back-off schedule may specify beam power back-off values as a function of latitude on Earth, and may allow for maximum allowable power levels for beams transmitted from the NGSO satellites without violating any of the EPFD percentile limits.
