Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for serving cell measurement based on CSI-RS RRM are provided. An example apparatus may transmit, to a base station, an indication indicating support for reporting one or more serving cell channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) radio resource management (RRM) measurements independent of non-serving cell CSI-RS RRM measurements. The example apparatus may receive, from the base station, a configuration of layer 3 measurement resources. The example apparatus may perform, based on the configuration of the layer 3 measurement resources, the one or more serving cell CSI-RS RRM measurements. The example apparatus may transmit, to the base station, the one or more serving cell CSI-RS RRM measurements for a serving cell.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to communicating with multiple cells based on two separate subscriptions stored at the UE in a dual subscription dual standby (DSDS) mode, switching to communicate with the multiple cells in a dual subscription dual active (DSDA) mode, transmitting, to at least one of the multiple cells and based on a number of component carriers allowed for a subscription being exceeded by switching to communicate in the DSDA mode, assistance information to indicate a threshold amount of component carriers for the UE, and transmitting, to at least one of the multiple cells and based on the number of component carriers allowed for the subscription being exceeded by switching to communicate in the DSDA mode, a channel quality indicator (CQI) value for one or more cells of the multiple cells to request deactivation of one or more component carriers with, or release of, the one or more cells.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, via a first subscription of the UE, a trigger event for a conditional handover of the UE from a source network entity to a target network entity. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the trigger event, that a target band associated with the target network entity is not compatible with a serving band associated with a second subscription of the UE. The UE may store the trigger event for the conditional handover in a buffer of the UE. The UE may perform an action related to the conditional handover based at least in part on a condition being satisfied. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may make a joint decision of adaptive receive diversity (ARD) and adaptive transmit diversity (ATD) configurations, including transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) antennas selection and/or blanking based on downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) traffic conditions. The UE may disable at least one Tx chain for a transmission of a codebook-based sounding reference signal (SRS) (SRS-CB) based on one or more of at least one DL traffic condition or at least one UL traffic condition, and transmit, to a base station, upon disabling the at least one Tx chain, the SRS-CB via an antenna associated with at least one active Tx chain.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, at a modem from an application processor, sets of values for connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) configuration parameters, each of the sets of values for the C-DRX configuration parameters being associated with a corresponding one of a plurality of active applications. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses to manage mobility in a wireless communication system. A user equipment (UE) may include a wireless communication apparatus and an application processor (AP). In some aspects, the wireless communication apparatus may monitor cells using a first criterion to detect problematic cells. For example, the first criterion may be associated with a history of ping-pong events or a history of data transmission errors. The wireless communication apparatus may select a cell for communication using a cell selection criteria that deprioritizes selection of problematic cells. In some aspects, the wireless communication apparatus may receive a list of cells from the AP or a server, the list identifying cells considered to be problematic cells. The wireless communication apparatus may adjust the first criterion to expedite detection of problematic cells. In some aspects, the server may aggregate and redistribute information about problematic cells from a plurality of UEs.

In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may be scheduled to perform a first measurement or paging activity associated with a target cell operating according to a first target cell configuration that is different from a serving cell operating according to a first serving cell configuration of the UE. In some cases, the UE may determine that the UE has performed a previous measurement or paging activity associated with the target cell while being served by the serving cell, the cells operating according to previous cell configurations. The UE may compare at least one of the first and previous target cell configurations or the first and previous serving cell configurations, and may perform the first measurement or paging activity using a script, where the script is either reused or rebuilt based on comparing the cell configurations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a receiving device, such as a user equipment (UE), may reduce packet congestion associated with communications between the receiving device and a transmitting device, such as a server, via a radio access network (RAN). The receiving device may measure congestion metrics associated with receiving data packets from the transmitting device via the RAN. The congestion metrics may include RAN congestion metrics and transport or application layer congestion metrics associated with the network connection between the receiving device and the transmitting device. The receiving device may estimate packet congestion at the receiving device according to the measured congestion metrics. The receiving device may modify connection parameters of the network connection based on the estimated packet congestion. The receiving device may communicate with the transmitting device over the network connection in accordance with the modified connection parameters.
