Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines that up-link control information for channel state information (CSI) acquisition and up-link control information for beam management is to be transmitted on a same up-link channel. The UE includes the up-link control information for beam management in at least one CSI-acquisition report for reporting the up-link control information for CSI acquisition. The UE sends the at least one CSI-acquisition report to the base station on the up-link channel.

Abstract: Various solutions with respect to codebook-based uplink transmission in wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) stores information with respect to a plurality of permutations with respect to a mapping between a plurality of sounding reference signal (SRS) resources and a plurality of antenna ports at the UE. The UE receives signaling from a network node of a wireless network. The signaling contains an index identifying a permutation among the plurality of permutations. The UE performs an uplink transmission of data to the network node using one or more SRS resources of the plurality of SRS resources and one or more antenna ports of the plurality of antenna ports according to the identified permutation.

The UE processes information using the codebook and transmits the processed information to a network node of a wireless network. In generating the codebook, the UE selects a candidate precoder from a single-stage codebook or a dual-stage codebook and performs a permutation on the candidate precoder.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines a reference size of a payload available in a physical uplink channel for carrying R channel state information (CSI) reports, R being an integer greater than 0, each of the R CSI reports including a first part containing CSI of a wideband and a second part containing CSI of one or more subbands of the wideband. The UE carries all first parts of the R CSI reports in the payload. The UE further carries second parts of (M−1) CSI reports of the R CSI reports in the payload. The UE carries a portion of a second part of an Mth CSI report of the R CSI reports in the payload.

Abstract: Techniques and examples pertaining to uplink (UL) transmission in mobile communications are described. A processor of an apparatus having a plurality of antenna ports controls a plurality of amplifiers each of which corresponding to a respective antenna port of the plurality of antenna ports that correspond to a plurality of antennas. The processor transmits a reference signal to a network via the plurality of antenna ports. The processor also transmits data through a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to the network via the plurality of antenna ports. The processor controls output powers of the plurality of power amplifiers such that, for at least a first antenna of the plurality of antennas, an amount of power used by the first antenna in transmitting the data and another amount of power used by the first antenna in transmitting the reference signal are equal.

A processor of an apparatus can generate a signal containing at least an even-length Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence and transmit the signal to a receiving device. The even-length ZC sequence identifies the apparatus, carries information for signaling, or functions in time-frequency synchronization. The processor can also receive a signal containing at least an even-length ZC sequence and detect the even-length ZC sequence in the received signal.

Abstract: When the codeword level interference cancellation (CW-IC) is used at the receiver in conjunction with the superposition coding scheme at the transmitter, in order to guarantee the success of signal reception, restrictions of scheduling decisions in resource allocation of superposed transport blocks may occur. A method to mitigate the scheduling restrictions is proposed. For a low-geometry UE in NOMA operation, one sub-band is used as the basic scheduling unit. As a result, data in resource blocks scheduled for NOMA operation and data in resource blocks scheduled for other non-NOMA operation correspond to different transport blocks. Therefore, a high-geometric UE only needs to decode the data scheduled for NOMA. The base station does not need to impose additional scheduling restrictions and signaling overhead.

Abstract: A method of interference cancellation is proposed. A UE obtains configuration information of a data transmission from a neighboring cell via an interference channel in a mobile communication network. The UE receives radio signals on a set of data resource elements as determined based on the obtained configuration information. The UE then estimates the interference channel corresponding to the data transmission from the neighboring cell based on the received radio signals on the set of data resource elements. Finally, the UE cancels the data transmission from the neighboring cell based on the estimated interference channel.
