    Abstract: Various solutions for multiplexing of short physical downlink control channel and data with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a reuse indication from a control channel. The apparatus may determine whether a plurality of control channel elements (CCEs) are reused for a data channel according to the reuse indication. The apparatus may further receive the data channel in the CCEs in an event that the reuse indication indicates that the CCEs are reused.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines K1 information bits carrying one or more CSI reports, the one or more reports including a first CSI report, K1 being an integer greater than 0. The UE selects K2 information bits from the K1 information bits, the K2 information bits excluding a part of information bits of the first CSI report, K2 being an integer greater than 0 and smaller than K1. The UE determines that the K2 information bits are in a first predetermined relationship with a threshold. The UE transmits E2 encoded bits derived from the K2 information bits in a physical up-link channel to a base station, E2 being an integer greater than 0.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE monitors a respective down link control channel (DCCH) from each of a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs). The UE receives, from a first TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a first trigger for reporting N1 channel state information (CSI) reports within a time duration, N1 being an integer greater than 0. The UE commits to update the N1 CSI reports. The UE determines that P processing units are remaining available for calculation of CSI reports while the UE is calculating the N1 CSI reports. P is a number greater than or equal to zero. Each of the P processing units indicates a predetermined amount of computing power of the UE.

    Abstract: A method to improve the design of new radio physical downlink control channel (NR-PDCCH) transmission and to reduce the false alarm rate of NR-PDCCH blind decoding is proposed. The downlink control information (DCI) bits are carried by NR-PDCCH to be transmitted to UEs after CRC attachment, channel encoding, interleaving, and modulation. The proposed NR-PDCCH design is separated into two parts. In a first part, a UE-ID or RNTI is used to derive a CRC mask or a scrambling sequence for CRC attachment of the DCI bits. In a second part, a UE-specific ID is used to derive an interleaver before or after channel encoding of the DCI bits. If the interleaver is placed before channel encoding, it takes the form of a bit interleaver. If the interleaver is placed after channel encoding, it takes the form of a bit interleaver or a channel interleaver.

    Abstract: A UE receives a bandwidth part switch command from a first TRP, the bandwidth part switch command instructing the UE to switch from communicating on a first bandwidth part to communicating on a second bandwidth part. The UE switches from communicating on the first bandwidth part to communicating on the second bandwidth part. A first TRP determines whether the first TRP is a primary TRP instructing to switch from communicating on a first bandwidth part to communicating on a second bandwidth part. The first TRP communicates with the UE via the first TRP on either the first bandwidth part or the second bandwidth part, when the first TRP is the primary TRP.

    Abstract: Techniques and examples of layer mapping, channel state information (CSI) feedback and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback in mobile communications are described. A user equipment (UE) receives from a base station one or more reference signals, which may be non-zero power (NZP) or zero power (ZP), on one or more time-frequency resources indicated by a network via a communication link between the UE and the base station. The UE estimates, based on the receiving, a subspace spanned by a channel response of an interfering signal. The UE determines a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) based on the estimated subspace. The UE transmits to the base station a channel state information (CSI) feedback comprising at least the PMI. The PMI may include at least a first precoder and a second precoder.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for transmission preemption and its indication. In one novel aspect, the UE receives a downlink resource assignment and determines whether an ultra-low latency (ULL) alert signal exists, wherein the ULL alert signal indicates a set of soft bits are overridden. The UE discards the set of soft bits from the overridden resources upon determining the ULL alert signal exists. In one embodiment, the ULL alert signal resides in the assignment subframe, and the overridden soft bits are in the assignment subframe. The alert timing for the ULL alert signal is preconfigured. In another embodiment, the ULL alert signal resides in a subframe that is right after the assignment subframe. The alert signal is enabled through an enabling of an enhanced mobile broadband and ULL service. The alter signal indicates a superset of the overridden soft bits or part of the overridden soft bits.

    Abstract: Various examples with respect to generation of reference signals with improved cross-correlation properties in wireless communications are described. A processor of a user equipment (UE) selects a column of a Hadamard matrix to provide a vector and also generates a pseudo-random sequence. The processor scrambles the vector with the pseudo-random sequence to provide a scrambling sequence and performs a cyclic shift on the scrambling sequence to provide a cyclic-shifted scrambling sequence. The processor then generates a reference signal by performing a pi/2-binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation on the cyclic-shifted scrambling sequence.
