Abstract:
A paging method and apparatus are provided to simplify a prior-art paging process. The method includes: receiving, by an access device, downlink data, where the downlink data includes a first identifier of a terminal; determining a paging identifier based on the first identifier; and sending, by the access device, a paging message to the terminal, where the paging message carries the paging identifier. After the access device receives the downlink data, the access device can initiate the paging process without using a control plane network element device. The advantages of the innovative paging methods disclosed herein include reduced signaling, shortened signaling transmission, and simplified paging process.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a management method, and a management device and a system that are based on the method. The method includes: sending, by a second management device, an update request to a first management device, where the update request is used to request the first management device to update requirement information of a subnet managed by the first management device; and then, determining, by the first management device, that the subnet can satisfy the update request, or determining that the subnet cannot satisfy the update request. In the solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure, the second management device can request the first management device to update the requirement information of the subnet managed by the first management device, thereby preventing a management fault of an entire network slice when a subnet managed by the second management device cannot satisfy a preset requirement.
Abstract:
This application relates to the field of wireless communications technologies, and provides a session processing method. The method discloses: obtaining, by user equipment UE, session type information, where the session type information is used to indicate a type of a first session; and when a first application triggers a first service, determining, by the UE based on the session type information, whether a create session request needs to be initiated for the first service. According to the solutions provided in embodiments, before the create session request is initiated, the UE may determine whether to reuse a created session or create a new session. In this way, for a service that can reuse a created session, no new session needs to be created, thereby reducing signaling exchange between the UE and a network side.
Abstract:
A session management method and a session management function network element are provided. The session management method includes: learning, by a session management function SMF network element, of whether a first condition is met, where the first condition includes: a first location of user equipment UE is outside a service area SA of a local area data network LADN; and in response to determining that the first condition is met, stopping, by the SMF network element, data transmission of an LADN packet data unit PDU session of the LADN, and maintaining, by the SMF network element, a resource of the LADN PDU session.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an identity authentication method and a communications terminal. One example method includes: performing, by a terminal, first identity authentication on first user identity feature data; if the first identity authentication succeeds, and the wearable device is in a valid worn state, when receiving an access request for a preset application, obtaining, by the terminal, a service security level of the preset application, and obtaining an authentication time point for second identity authentication and matching accuracy of the second identity authentication; determining whether a difference between a current time point and the authentication time point is less than authentication validity duration corresponding to the service security level and whether the matching accuracy is higher than lowest matching accuracy corresponding to the service security level; and if yes, accepting the access request.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide a load balancing method. In this method, a first load migration instruction from an operation management system can be received by a network element selector, when a first controller dynamically changes. Record information may then be updated by the network element selector based on the the first load migration instruction. Interaction signaling of UE from an external network element may then be received and a second controller may be selected for the UE based on updated record information. The interaction signaling may be forwarded to the second controller. Embodiments can further provide devices related to this method. In various embodiments, utilization and availability of resources of a core network can be improved while load balancing is implemented.
Abstract:
An interaction method in a call and a device, where the method includes displaying a voice assistant icon on a call screen of the wearable device when a phone number of a communication peer device is a service number converting received voice information into a dual tone multi frequency (DTMF) tone when the voice assistant icon is activated, and sending the DTMF tone to the communication peer device. Therefore, in a process of making or answering a service call using the wearable device, under a specific trigger condition, voice information of a user is converted into a DTMF tone to be sent to the communication peer device. In this way, when the user needs to enter a digit or a symbol in a call process, it can be ensured that the user enters correct information, and user experience is improved.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a slice-based communications method. In one example method, an access and mobility management function (AMF) node sends a first request message to a network slice selection function (NSSF) node. The AMF node receives a response message from the NSSF node. The AMF node obtains, based on the response message, allowed network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI).
Abstract:
A method and a system for exercising policy control, a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF) are provided, which can solve the problem that no policy control can be exercised over application service flows without an application function (AF). In the method, a PCRF receives information about an application event sent by a PCEF after subscribing the application event from the PCEF; and the PCRF generates a control policy for a service flow of the application according to the information about the application event. In the present invention, the PCEF sends the obtained information about the application event to the PCRF, so that even when no AF is involved, the PCRF can still generate a control policy according to policy contexts including the information about the application event and the like.
Abstract:
The present application provides a flow table-based table entry addressing method, a switch, and a controller. The method includes: receiving, by a switch, a packet; matching, by the switch, the packet based on a previous flow table; after matching is successful, sending, by the switch based on a write storage index instruction in a flow table entry that is successfully matched, storage index information along with the packet to a lower-level flow table, where, the storage index information corresponds to a flow table entry in the lower-level flow table, and the write storage index instruction is sent by a controller; and directly addressing, by the switch in the lower-level flow table based on the storage index information, the flow table entry corresponding to the storage index information.
