Abstract: A service for automatically connecting an individual's telephony device to a conference call when the conference call is about to begin is provided by a telephony system. The telephony system obtains information about a scheduled conference call directly from the individual's electronic calendar. When it is time for the conference call to begin, the telephony system dials into the conference call bridge and automatically provides the information needed to access the conference call. The telephony system then connects the individual's telephony device to the conference call.

Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to manage devices that are part of a telecommunications system. An image of a device that is part of a telecommunications system is obtained and transmitted to a first remote device. Data indicative of device-specific information for the device is received from the first remote device in response to transmitting the image, wherein the device-specific information comprises information associated with the telecommunications system. The device-specific information is displayed for the purpose selected from the group consisting of performing a management function associated with the device and monitoring a performance parameter associated with the device. Data indicative of a selection of the management function is received and transmitted to a second remote device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for handling an incoming telephone call received at a private branch exchange system and directed to an employee enable an actual or virtual receptionist to camp the call on the employee's extension. When the call is camped on the employee's extension, the private branch exchange system causes a push notification to be sent to a telephony device used by the employee to notify the employee that a call is camped on his extension. Such a push notification may also inform the employee about how many calls are camped on his extension. Further, such a push notification may provide the employee with information about the identity of a calling party whose call is camped on the employee's extension.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed herein for an automated progressive dialer system. The system comprises maintaining a callee database for a calling campaign. A Presence registrar is maintains a list of call center agents, wherein the list comprises the agent's current state, account information and other metrics. An agent progressive dialer (APD) indicates an agent's current state to the Presence registrar and maintains an agent's open line to connect with a connected outbound call to a callee. One or more callees are selected to call based upon the agent's current state. Outbound calls are placed to the selected callee using a callee progressive dialer (CPD). Upon successfully connecting a call to a callee, the Presence registrar provides an available agent with an open line to receive the call. The CPD then bridges the successfully connected callee outbound call with the available agent's open line on the APD.
