摘要: A regeneration control device for a hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, driving wheels drivable by the internal combustion engine, a motor for additionally supplying electric power for driving the driving wheels, a transmission between the engine, motor and driving wheels and an accumulator for supplying electric power to the motor, which causes the motor to work, while braking the vehicle, as a generator whose output is returned to the accumulator which in turn stores electric energy regenerated depending upon the deceleration degree. The control device also has calculating means for determining the degree of downward slope of a road whereon the vehicle is running and correcting means for correcting a regenerable energy amount according to the downward slope determined by the calculating means when using the motor as the generator, the output of which is thus corrected and returned to charge the accumulator in such a way that the accumulator may not rapidly be charged to its full capacity, thus preventing regeneration from being ineffective due to the full charge of the accumulator.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle has an engine for propelling the hybrid vehicle, a power transfer mechanism for transferring an output power of the engine from an output shaft thereof to drive wheels of the hybrid vehicle, an electric motor for supplying an assistive output power to assist the output power of the engine through the power transfer mechanism to the drive wheels, and an electric energy storage unit for storing electric energy for energizing the electric motor. The hybrid vehicle also has a controller for controlling operation of the hybrid vehicle with the engine and the electric motor. If the amount of electric energy stored in the electric energy storage unit is greater than a predetermined quantity, the controller controls the electric motor to generate the assistive output power to start the hybrid vehicle with the electric energy supplied from the electric energy storage unit to the electric motor while the engine is idling or stopped. If the amount of electric energy stored in the electric energy storage unit is smaller than the predetermined quantity, the controller controls the engine to generate an output power to start the hybrid vehicle while the electric motor is being de-energized.

摘要: An air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine has an air-fuel ratio sensor arranged in the exhaust system of the engine, for detecting the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gases emitted from the engine, and various engine operating parameter sensors for detecting operating conditions of the engine. An ECU controls the air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture to be supplied to the engine to a desired air-fuel ratio in a feedback manner responsive to an output from the air-fuel ratio sensor. A first learned value for correcting the desired air-fuel ratio is calculated based on the feedback control when the engine is detected to be in a first predetermined operating condition, and a second learned value for correcting the desired air-fuel ratio when the engine is detected to be in a second predetermined engine operating condition. The air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture is controlled to a value leaner than a stoichiometric value, by using the first learned value. The first learned value is learned again when the difference between the first and the second learned values is larger than a predetermined re-learning-determining threshold value.

摘要: A fuel supply control system for an internal combustion engine in which an accelerating fuel increment of fuel supplied to the engine is set in response to the detected change rate in the opening degree of the throttle valve. Further, the accelerating fuel increment is set in such a manner that it is smaller as the detected reduction gear ratio of the transmission is larger. Advantageously, the accelerating fuel increment is set to increase at a smaller rate as the above detected change increases within a region within which the change rate is smaller than a region in which the change rate is larger.

摘要: A system and apparatus for helically scanning a magnetic tape having slant tracks wherein the slant tracks are divided into a plurality of segments. A helical scan drum has at least first and second rotary head pairs. The first head pair scans at least one of the segments of a first track while the second head pair simultaneously scans at least one of the segments of the second slant track of the magnetic tape. This system is particularly useful for utilizing a tape for portable audio use wherein the same tape is also useful for video applications.

摘要: A method and apparatus for selectively compensating burst errors of variable length in successive data words. Correct and erroneous data words are identified, and the presence of one of the following error conditions is sensed: (a) an erroneous data word preceded and followed, respectively, by correct data words; (b) plural successive erroneous data words preceded and followed, respectively, by correct data words; and (c) a predetermined number of successive erroneous data words preceded by a correct data word. These error conditions are compensated respectively as follows: (a) the erroneous data word is replaced with a compensated data word derived from one interpolation of a correct preceding and following data word; (b) the plural erroneous data words are replaced with respective compensated data words derived from plural interpolations of the correct preceding and following data words; and (c) at least the first of the predetermined number of successive erroneous data words is replaced with the preceding correct data word.
