    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reporting and responding to beam failure events based on a receiving cell restriction rule. An example method includes detecting an occurrence of a threshold number of beam failures for a connection between the UE and a set of cells; identifying a candidate beam for restoring the connection between the UE and the set of cells in response to detecting the occurrence of the threshold number of beam failures; transmitting, to one or more cells in the set of cells, a beam failure recovery (BFR) request including an identification of the candidate beam; receiving, from a cell in the set of cells, a BFR response in response to transmitting the BFR request, wherein the BFR response is received according to a restriction rule; and resuming communications with the set of cells based on the BFR response.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for over-the-air (OTA) aggregation of data. Certain techniques include transmitting, to a plurality of user equipments (UEs), a first reference signal (RS) via a first transmit beam of a base station (BS), wherein the plurality of UEs and the BS share a global federated learning model: receiving, in response to the first RS, a first set of signals each carrying corresponding local gradient information of a first set of local gradient information for the global federated learning model, the first set of local gradient information comprising local gradient information calculated by each UE of multiple UEs of the plurality of UEs, the first set of local gradient information received via a first receive beam of the BS; and aggregating, in an analog domain, the first set of signals to aggregate the first set of local gradient information received from the multiple UEs.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration that indicates, within each symbol of a plurality of symbols, an extra guard interval (GI) before data and a tail GI after the data. The UE may decode first data within a first symbol of the plurality of symbols at a first time location that is based at least in part on the extra GI and the tail GI within the first symbol. The UE may decode second data within a second symbol of the plurality of symbols at a second time location that is based at least in part on the tail GI within the second symbol.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for determining application time for a path loss reference signal (PL RS) by a user equipment (UE). A method that may be performed by a UE includes receiving an indication of activation of a PL RS. The method further includes transmitting an acknowledgement for the indication. The method further includes measuring samples of the PL RS for a number of samples after transmitting the acknowledgement prior to utilizing the measured samples of the PL RS for uplink power control. The method further includes utilizing the measured samples of the PL RS for uplink power control after measuring at least the number of samples of the PL RS. The number of samples varies based on one or more factors.
