Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to UE cooperation are provided. A base station (BS) may assist a UE in discovering and cooperating with other UEs. A BS may collect information from candidate cooperative UEs such as UE capability and availability. This information may be broadcast to other UEs or may be transmitted to a UE at the UE's request. The UE may, upon receipt of this information, use it to aid in discovering the candidate cooperative UEs and/or establishing a connection.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reporting and responding to beam failure events based on a receiving cell restriction rule. An example method includes detecting an occurrence of a threshold number of beam failures for a connection between the UE and a set of cells; identifying a candidate beam for restoring the connection between the UE and the set of cells in response to detecting the occurrence of the threshold number of beam failures; transmitting, to one or more cells in the set of cells, a beam failure recovery (BFR) request including an identification of the candidate beam; receiving, from a cell in the set of cells, a BFR response in response to transmitting the BFR request, wherein the BFR response is received according to a restriction rule; and resuming communications with the set of cells based on the BFR response.
