Abstract: A road surveillance system includes a video acquisition unit, a target determination unit, and a display control unit. The video acquisition unit acquires a video that captures a road. The target determination unit determines, based on a result of comparison between at least one frame image constituting the video and a reference image, and a first criterion, whether the at least one frame image is an analysis target. The display control unit causes a display unit to display information based on a result of the determination. The display control unit includes a first control unit and a second control unit. The first control unit causes the display unit to display an analysis result of at least one frame image being determined to be an analysis target. The second control unit causes the display unit to display detection information indicating that a frame image not being an analysis target is detected.

Abstract: A method for multi-view dataset formation from fleet data is described. The method includes detecting at least a pair of vehicles within a vicinity of one another, and having overlapping viewing frustums of a scene. The method also includes triggering a capture of sensor data from the pair of vehicles. The method further includes synchronizing the sensor data captured by the pair of vehicles. The method also includes registering the sensor data captured by the pair of vehicles within a shared coordinate system to form a multi-view dataset of the scene.

Abstract: A method in a mobile computing device includes: controlling a camera to capture an image; tracking, in association with the image, a pose of the mobile computing device in a coordinate system; detecting a region of interest (ROI) depicting an item in the image; determining a location of the ROI in the coordinate system, based on the tracked pose; obtaining an item identifier corresponding to the ROI by (i) when a previously recognized item identifier is not available, executing a recognition mechanism to derive the item identifier from the ROI, and (ii) when a previously recognized item identifier is available, bypassing the recognition mechanism and retrieving the previously recognized item identifier; and returning the obtained item identifier corresponding to the ROI.

Abstract: A navigation system may include a processor programmed to receive, from a camera of the host vehicle, one or more images captured from an environment of the host vehicle, and analyze the one or more images to detect an indicator of an intersection. The processor may also be programmed to determine, based on output received from at least one sensor of the host vehicle, a stopping location of the host vehicle relative to the detected intersection, and analyze the one or more images to determine an indicator of whether one or more other vehicles are in front of the host vehicle. The processor may further be programmed to send the stopping location of the host vehicle and the indicator of whether one or more other vehicles are in front of the host vehicle to a server for use in updating a road navigation model.
