Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, generating, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide a unified digital content discovery framework that implements a combination of a logistic loss function and a pair-wise loss function for information retrieval. The logistic loss function reduces non-relevant images from appearing in the retrieved results, while the pair-wise loss function ensures that the highest-quality content is included in such results. The combination of such functions provides a search information retrieval system with the novel functionality of quantifying a search results' relevance and quality in accordance with the searcher's intent.

Abstract: A method and network architecture through which user-specific media profile data can be made available to third parties. A browser is optionally enhanced to facilitate playback and control of one or more media players, thereby allowing the user to play content via the browser. As the user plays content in the browser or any of the media players, information is collected about the content and stored in a database. By monitoring all media-related interactions made by the user within the browser, the collected content information can encompass information from a wide range of sources. User-specific profile data is then determined based on the collected data and such user-specific profile data is made available to third parties. The user-specific profile data can be used, for example, for social networking purposes, and may also be used to drive advertisements or other content to the user.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to searching encrypted data. In one example, a search request is received for encrypted documents. An encrypted query is generated based on the search request. The encrypted query is sent to a server that stores a first encrypted index and a second encrypted index. The first encrypted index maps encrypted keywords to full blocks each of which has a same size and is fully filled with encrypted document identities (IDs). The second encrypted index maps encrypted keywords to partial blocks each of which has the same size and is partially filled with encrypted document IDs. Based on the encrypted query, one or more encrypted document IDs are determined by searching against both the first encrypted index and the second encrypted index. A search result is generated based on the one or more encrypted document IDs. The search result is provided in response to the search request.

Abstract: One or more systems and/or methods of generating a query-goal-mission structure for a set of queries are provided. A set of queries may be evaluated to identify query information for the queries within the set of queries. The queries may be evaluated as query pairs to determine common goal probabilities (e.g., likelihood two queries correspond to a particular goal, such as to identify vacation planning information) for the query pairs. Responsive to the common goal probabilities for the query pairs exceeding a goal probability threshold, the query pairs may be grouped into goal clusters. The goal clusters may be evaluated as goal cluster pairs to determine common mission probabilities. Responsive to the common mission probabilities for the goal cluster pairs exceeding a mission probability threshold, the goal clusters may be grouped into mission clusters. The mission clusters and the goal clusters may be utilized to generate a query-goal-mission structure.
