摘要:
A device for detecting the actual position of an elevator car using a computer has an interfloor detector 5 which detects the elevator car passing through an intermediate zone between adjacent landing floors, and a floor level detector 6 which detects when the elevator car is located at a landing floor. A position detecting device which is fed output signals from the two detectors precisely memorizes the actual position of the elevator car.

A position or movement sensor responsive to movement of a mine cage (26) in a mineshaft comprises a leaky coaxial cable (12) extending along the path of the cage, and an oscillator (40) and associated circuitry (42, 44, 14) for forming an electromagnetic standing wave in the cable. The cage carries a resonator (28) which moves adjacent the cable, causing a cyclical change in the cable characteristics as seen from a detector probe (30) at the top end of the cable. Detection and counting circuitry (32) detects and indicates movement of the cage by reference to the standing wave pattern.

An elevator control system for an elevator system of the type in which a digital position detector is used and it detects relatively an amount of the car travelling to control the elevator system, is provided. The elevator control system comprises; a first power source; a detector for detecting ceasing of the first power source function resulting from power stoppage or other power source trouble; a car position detector including a position signal storing circuit for electrically storing the car position signal representing the car position; a second power source for supplying power source to the car position detector to secure its normal operation till the car completely stops after the power source trouble; a third power source for supplying power source to only the position signal storing circuit includes in the car position detector after the second power source ceases its function. With such a construction, the final position at which the car stops due to its power source trouble is continuously stored with an accuracy and, after restoration of the power source from the trouble, the car may quickly initiate its normal operation.

A position sensor disposed on an elevator car has a first rotatable shaft connected to a secondary winding of a transformer or a switch actuating member, and a second rotatable shaft coaxial with the first shaft and connected to a primary transformer winding or to a switch position changing member. A first roller engages a rod-shaped cam mounted at an angle to a guide rail for the car toward the end of the path of travel of the car to rotate the first shaft in a direction to decrease the voltage across the secondary winding or successively actuate the switches. If the car moves horizontally, the first shaft is rotated to change the voltage and a second roller engaging the rail rotates a second shaft to compensate for this change in voltage.

An elevator system including an elevator car mounted for movement in a structure to serve the floors therein, and a car position indicator for displaying the position of the car in the structure. The car position indicator displays the car position according to a first mode during normal system operation, and, in response to the car becoming disabled, it switches to a second display mode which more accurately indicates the position of the elevator car relative to the floors of the structure.

An elevator control system using vertically elongated single-turn loops of wire movable with the car past a vertical column of stationary coils of wire, one at each floor, which are de-energized one at a time repetitively at high speed. The sudden collapse of magnetic flux from a coil induces a pulse into the loops if the car is adjacent. Each loop has one or more twists so that the polarities of the induced pulses vary in a predictable manner over the vertical length of the loops. When pulses are induced in the loops, the unique combination of positive and negative pulses defines the quantized distance between the car floor and the building floor whose coil caused the pulses. The quantized distance between the car floor and any desired target floor in the building is computed repetitively by adding the pertinent floor heights, as stored in a memory, to the reading obtained from the loops.

Position measurement apparatus which utilizes a digital code to accurately determine the position of a movable body along a travel path. The digital code is selected to provide, for any N consecutive bits of the code, a bit pattern which is unique. Indicia defining the code, and a reader, are arranged for relative motion in synchronism with movement of the movable body. Translating apparatus converts each combination of N consecutive bits read by the reader into an address defining the location of the movable body relative to the travel path. In a preferred embodiment, the digital code is a maximum length digital code, which is conveniently generated by a polynomial generator. The bit length of the code, which is equal to 2.sup.N -1, is selected according to the length of the travel path and the desired resolution.
