摘要: An elevator position reference system and a method of monitoring building settlement using such a system. The elevator position reference system includes a hoistway extending in a vertical direction. The system also includes a first position measurement tape extending vertically along a portion of the hoistway and an upper tensioning device, connected to an upper end of the first position measurement tape so as to apply a tensioning force in the upwards vertical direction. A lower end of the first position measurement tape is fixed within the hoistway. The system also includes a second position measurement tape extend vertically along at least some of said portion of the hoistway and a lower tensioning device, connected to a lower end of the second position measurement tape so as to apply a tensioning force in the downwards vertical direction.

摘要: The elevator system includes an elevator hoistway bounded by a surrounding structure, two or more entrances to the elevator hoistway, guide rails, which are fitted into the elevator hoistway and also an elevator car with door(s), which elevator car is configured to be movable in the elevator hoistway between the aforementioned entrances to the elevator hoistway along a vertical trajectory determined by the guide rails. Each entrance to the elevator hoistway may be bounded by a door frame, onto which a hoistway door is fitted. The door opening of the elevator car may be bounded by a door frame, onto which the car door is fitted. The elevator system includes for each entrance to the elevator hoistway a marking piece fixed immovably to the frame of the hoistway door, wherein the marking piece indicates the location in the elevator hoistway of the entrance to the elevator hoistway. The elevator system may also include a reader moving along with the elevator car, wherein the reader may be fixed immovably to a fixing point on the frame of the car door and may be configured to read the marking piece.

摘要: A car panel for an elevator car, a method for assembling an elevator car, and an elevator system are disclosed. The car panel of the elevator car includes a lower portion, the lower portion attached to a floor of the elevator car and an upper portion, the upper portion attached to a side panel by a hinge. The hinge allows the upper portion to displace, with respect to the lower portion, by rotating the upper portion inwardly about the hinge towards an interior space of the elevator car. Displacement of the upper portion, with respect to the lower portion, from rotating the upper portion inwardly about the hinge provides ingress to a hoistway of the elevator system.

摘要: An elevator system (20) includes wireless communicating portions (40, 42) that communicate with each other to provide elevator cab (22) position information within a hoistway (24). In one example, a first communicating portion (40) is supported on the elevator cab (22) that generates a radio frequency trigger signal (58) that is received by a second communicating portion (42) at a selected position along the hoistway (24). The second communicating portion (42) responsively generates an ultrasound signal (64) that is received by the first communicating portion (40). A characteristic of the received locating signal, such as the timing between the trigger signal and the receipt of the locating signal, provides position information regarding the cab within the hoistway.

摘要: An apparatus for generating function signals to an elevator controller for controlling an elevator car (1) at terminal landings in a building includes an upper cam (3) and a lower cam (4) for mounting on a wall (2a, 2b) in an elevator shaft (2) at a top landing and a bottom landing respectively, an upper switch (5) and a lower switch (8) for mounting on the elevator car and for connection to a source of electrical power (12) and an interface circuit (10) connected to the switches. The interface circuit (10) has a lower limit relay coil (16), an upper limit relay coil (27), normally closed up relay contact sets (17,19,35) and normally closed down relay contact sets (24,28,30) which cooperate with the switches (5,8) for generating upper and lower limit function signals to control car travel and upper and lower slow down signals to control car speed.

摘要: Elevator control apparatus for monitoring the floor position of a car utilizing a switch on the car to sense floor indicator cams each spaced along the hoistway in regular spatial relation to an associated floor. The control apparatus includes means to register signals from the floor switch while knowing the simultaneous direction of car travel to thereby enable it to distinguish ascent to a higher floor and descent to a lower floor. The control apparatus also includes means to disregard false signals from the floor switch resulting from car bounce and mid-floor reversals of car direction.
