摘要: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for adjusting membrane height for hot drape forming. The apparatus includes a frame including an enclosable interior space and sidewalls defining a perimeter of the interior space. The apparatus further includes an adjustable collar within the interior space of the frame. The adjustable collar extends about the perimeter of the interior space and is configured to move translationally within the interior space of the frame along the sidewalls in a first direction. The apparatus further includes a membrane extending across the interior space in a second direction, perpendicular to the first direction, and co-movably coupled with the adjustable collar, wherein a position of the membrane within the interior space is adjustable in the first direction as the adjustable collar moves translationally within the interior space.

摘要: Thermal insulation structures include a polymer foam layer adhered to a multi-layer sheet having a non-cellular layer of a heat-resistant thermoplastic and a second non-cellular layer of a polylactide resin. The polylactide resin is a surprisingly good barrier to the diffusion of atmospheric gases into the foam layer and of blowing agents out of the foam layer. Accordingly, the diffusion of atmospheric gases and blowing agents is retarded substantially. This greatly reduces the loss of thermal insulation capacity of the structure due to the replacement of the blowing agent with atmospheric gases. The multi-layer sheet exhibits excellent thermal stability, even when the polylactide in the polylactide layer is highly amorphous.

摘要: A forming tool is used, which has a tool trough arranged in a stationary manner and a pressure bell, which can be lowered onto and lifted away from the tool trough. An arrangement is created in which a single- or multi-layer, initially flat, flexible laminate separates the trough interior from the pressure-bell interior in a pressure tight manner. A table, on which the 3-D substrate to be coated is located, assumes a lowered position within the trough interior; there is a considerable, free intermediate space (between the laminate and the 3-D substrate. A radiant-heater assembly is inserted into said intermediate space. The radiant-heater assembly has a carrier, on the top side of which radiant heaters that can be activated are attached and on the bottom side of which radiant heaters that can be activated are attached.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a product with skin includes: attaching a preformed base material to a vacuum forming die on a back surface of the base material, disposing a skin material as a material of the skin on a front surface of a base material, and sucking the skin material through the vacuum forming die and the base material to deform a main portion of skin material so as to be in close contact with the front surface of the base material; cutting a surplus portion of the skin material not being in close contact with the front surface of the base material with a trim blade so that a distal end portion remains around the main portion, thereby forming the skin having the distal end portion; and winding the distal end portion of the skin around the back surface of the base material by a winding mechanism.

摘要: The present invention provides a wearable medical support for delivery of a treatment to the nose of a subject comprising: a nose mask formed from a heat moldable sheet of thermoplastic material, said nose mask comprises an aperture dimensioned to fit the nose of the subject, said aperture is flanked by two flaps whereby each flap is configured to be in contact with at least part of a lateral side of the nose; and a device configured to close fit said aperture, said device is provided at one end with an opening for receiving the nose and at the other end with at least one coupling suitable to be connected to one or more tubes for delivery of the treatment to the nose. The present invention further provides a sheet of heat moldable thermoplastic material for molding a mask directly on a subject's nose.

摘要: A single-layer 3D fabric of traditional camouflage synthetic fabric with outwardly extending random hollow tunnels therein with weldments in the fabric layer intermittently along the tunnels to hold the outwardly extending hollow tunnels in place. The tunnels have variable depth, typically ranging from between about 0.25 inches to about 2.0 inches. The 3D fabric is produced from a molding process that creates the outer dimensional layer. The 3D fabrics have unique visual properties which make them desirable for a variety of applications.

摘要: A shaped tile and its manufacturing method are described. The manufacturing method for fabricating a shaped tile comprises a thermoforming process, which comprises using a thermoforming mold to perform heat-compression on an intermediate tile so as to melt and deform the intermediate tile while heat-compression is applied, and to form a molding edge on at least one periphery of the intermediate tile such that the intermediate tile is turned into a shaped tile. By employing the proposed present invention, it is advantages of maintaining a final configuration of the shaped tile without getting any distortion.
