摘要: A process for deforming a flex circuit using a fixture assembly including a base plate having a recess, a wrinkle reducer plate, a stiffening block and a punch. The process including heating the fixture assembly; applying a force to the punch deforming the flex circuit into the recess in the base plate; holding the punch in contact with the flex circuit while heating the fixture assembly; cooling the fixture assembly with the punch in contact with the flex circuit; subsequent to cooling the fixture assembly, removing the force of the punch; and removing the flex circuit from the fixture assembly. The flex circuit having a recessed portion resulting from deforming the flex circuit into the recess in the base plate and a flat portion surrounding the recessed portion.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a tool used to producing anatomical phantoms. The tool includes an inner flexible mold which sits inside a rigid, thermally conductive outer shell. The rigid shell may be made out of aluminum. The silicone mold and thermally conductive shell both include at least two interlocking components. The shell is held together by a locking mechanism which can expand upon internal pressure. An anatomical phantom is produced from polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel by freezing and thawing a PVA liquid precursor in the silicone mold and demolding it.

摘要: A mold system includes an upper mold and a lower mold. The upper mold and the lower mold include a base plate having a lower surface and an upper surface. At least one protrusion extends a first height from the lower surface of the base plate to a distal end wall and defines a mold cavity accessible through an opening of the lower base plate. One or more bosses extend a second height from the distal end wall, and at least one support leg extends a third height from the lower surface of the base plate to a terminal end. At least one socket is formed on the upper surface of the lower base plate adjacent the at least one support leg. The mold system is operable between a storage configuration and a molding configuration by rotating the upper mold relative to the lower mold.

摘要: A modified compression moulding arrangement where the compression moulding tool has been modified to allow for the use of pre-impregnated pre-form sheets in order to produce class A automotive structural parts in high volume. The pre-impregnated pre-form has continuous un-chopped fibers that extend across an entire length of the pre-impregnated pre-form. The pre-impregnated pre-form is then placed in an open compression moulding tool that has a bottom half and a top half that are movable between an open position and a closed position. When the mould tool is in the closed position, the top half and bottom half create a forming cavity that is defined by a forming surface of the top half and a forming surface of the bottom half. The forming surface of the bottom half has a boundary defined by a run-off edge and an upshear that is necessary for forming a class A structural automotive component using pre-impregnated pre-form material.
